Quarterback
Baker Mayfield: Mayfield keeps finding a way of getting there for fantasy football.
He has finished as QB13 or better in all four weeks this season.
Despite missing multiple starters on the offensive line and Mike Evans, Mayfield still managed to get to QB12 (18.9 points on Sunday).
He completed a season-low 55% of his passes and threw his first interception of the season, but a pair of long-distance touchdown tosses dragged him from the depths.
Mayfield threw a 77-yard touchdown to Emeka Egbuka in the third quarter.
The following possession, he hit Bucky Irving on a 72-yard touchdown.
The offensive line remains an ongoing problem.
Mayfield was pressured on 44.2% of his dropbacks on Sunday, marking the third time this season he has faced pressure on over 40% of his dropbacks.
Under pressure, Mayfield has completed 49% of his passes (19th) for 6.5 yards per pass attempt (11th).
Mayfield has proven he belongs in that fringe QB1 area, but he will once again have his hands full this weekend.
Seattle is allowing 6.0 yards per pass attempt (7th), 9.0 yards per completion (4th), and a 3.9% touchdown rate (12th).
They are fourth in passing points allowed per attempt (0.318).
Seattle has faced Kyler Murray, Spencer Rattler, and Aaron Rodgers over the past three weeks, so you may want to apply some grains of salt to those numbers.
However, the Bucs are road dogs here with a low team total, signaling that we should keep expectations in check.
Sam Darnold: Darnold has played really well the past three weeks, completing 70.1% of his passes (9th) for a league-high 9.8 yards per pass attempt and 6.5% touchdown rate (8th) over that span.
Unfortunately, that has only resulted in one fantasy week in the front half of weekly scoring because Seattle is not throwing enough.
Seattle has a 50.7% dropback rate in neutral game situations (31st) and is last in the NFL with 27.5 dropbacks per game.
Darnold’s bread and butter has been the play-action pass.
He leads the NFL with 18.6 yards per completion using play action.
Tampa Bay has been among the best teams in the league at defending play-action passing.
Against play action, they have allowed a 59.1% completion rate (9th), 6.0 Y/A (10th), and 10.2 yards per completion (12th), but they have allowed a 9.1% touchdown rate on those throws (23rd).
The Bucs are blitzing at a high rate again, sending blitzes on 36.4% of snaps (5th).
When blitzed, Darnold has completed 57.6% of his passes (24th), but has had a league-high 11.0 yards per pass attempt against the blitz.
He also has a 6.1% interception rate when blitzed (31st).
Darnold is a QB2 here.
Expect the opportunities for big plays in either direction for the offense and defense.
