- Miami has faced third and long (needing 7 or more yards) on a league-high 35.7% of their sets of downs. The league average is 22%.
- The Dolphins have a league-low 28.8% success rate on passing plays.
- The Dolphins have a 22.7% success rate on rushing plays (31st).
- Miami is allowing a league-high 3.26 points per possession.

Chiefs vs. Dolphins Fantasy Quarterback Preview
Patrick Mahomes (TRUST)
After a Week 1 outing in which Mahomes had weird production — he was inefficient as a passer but rushed for a touchdown — I was hesitant to chase that outcome.
Week 2 was an entirely different story.
Mahomes was as good as I have seen him in years.
We got a look at the ceiling this offense, with more balance and operating around Kenneth Walker, can bring to Mahomes.
This was more in line with 2022 Mahomes, when he was just getting everyone involved.
Mahomes connected on 32 of 47 passes (68.1%) for 382 yards (8.1 Y/A) with 3 touchdowns.
He added 17 rushing yards, closing the week as the QB4 (29.0 points).
Per Next Gen Stats, Mahomes completed a career-high 14 passes using play action.
He had 7 completions on throws of 10 or more yards downfield, his most in a game since Week 9 of last season.
He completed 63.6% of those throws on Sunday night, up from 48.7% last season.
After that performance, Mahomes faces the NFL's worst defense early in the season.
The Dolphins have a 24.6% pressure rate (31st) despite blitzing 28.6% of the time (14th).
They are the only team without a sack through two weeks.
Against two Shanahan-system offenses, Miami has played sub-package defense on a league-low 37% of snaps.
On those plays, Miami allowed Kirk Cousins and Brock Purdy to complete 22 of 28 passes (78.6%) for 271 yards (9.7 Y/A) and 3 touchdowns.
The Chiefs have thrown out of 12 personnel on 24.4% of their passing snaps, third in the league through two games.
When the Colts played base defense on Sunday night, Mahomes was 8 of 11 (72.7%) for only 5.0 Y/A, but with 2 of his touchdowns.
On the snaps Miami has played more defensive backs and gotten into sub packages, they have allowed a league-high 79.2% completion rate.
As we did with Brock Purdy last week, I just want to play the Chiefs pass catchers through Mahomes in DFS.
Malik Willis
Willis was largely dormant on Sunday until a late 77-yard touchdown strike in garbage time boosted him up a touch.
Even so, he still finished as the QB21 (12.5 points) because he did not run.
Willis rushed only twice for 6 yards in San Francisco.
Gamers need Willis to run to create a viable floor, because this passing game offers next to nothing.
Willis scrambled on 3.6% of his dropbacks, down from 13.5% in Week 1.
Going against a Steve Spagnuolo defense, Willis is hard to use as more than a floor-based QB2.
Spags has returned to blitzing a bit more this season, blitzing on 28.8% of snaps (12th).
When Willis has been blitzed these opening two games, he has gone 3 of 11 (27.3%) for 4.5 Y/A.
No quarterback has a lower completion percentage versus the blitz through two weeks.
If looking for some silver lining, Willis has scrambled on 20% of his dropbacks facing a blitz and has a career scramble rate of 16.7% against the blitz.
