Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.
This article series covers exactly that.
I will go through the players I am targeting as core plays for all formats here. I will cover tournament plays and games to target for stacks in other posts.
The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.
Week 14 DFS Content:
Our core players are the players that we will have the most exposure to in their positions.
They can be played in cash games and tournaments and are the players we are primarily building our lineups with.
I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 14 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.
Quarterback
Josh Allen ($8,300 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel)
Allen exits the bye as the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback.
The Bills and Chiefs have played five times since 2020, with Allen throwing 14 touchdown passes to two interceptions in those matchups.
Allen has thrown multiple touchdowns in all five games, including three or more touchdowns in each of the past three meetings.
Allen is averaging 276.4 passing yards with 57.8 rushing yards per game in those games.
Justin Fields ($6,800/$7,900)
Fields averaged 10.9 air yards per throw when he last played against the Lions in Week 11 coming off injured reserve. That was his second-highest rate in a game this season.
The Detroit defense has gotten extremely leaky over their past six games.
Over that span, the Lions have allowed quarterbacks to complete 66.5% of their passes (24th) for 8.7 yards per attempt (31st) with 12 touchdowns.
They have allowed a QB1 scoring week in four of those six games, including a QB8 (21.2 points) week to Fields.
Fields added 104 yards rushing in that game, giving him three straight 100-yard rushing yard games against the Lions.
