Week 10 DFS Picks: Core Players and Best Plays

Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Our core players are the ones we will have the most exposure to at their respective positions.

They can be played in cash games and tournaments.

I will analyze the player selections and game writeups, but please refer to the Week 10 Worksheet for a detailed breakdown of the players and games.

Quarterback

Josh Allen ($9,200/$7,000)

Allen is expensive in a tight week for pricing, but he is priced here for a reason.

He has owned the Dolphins.

In 16 career games against Miami, Allen has thrown 43 touchdowns, completing 66.4% of his passes for 4,302 yards.

He has thrown multiple passing touchdowns in 15 of those games.

As a rusher, he had 692 yards (43.3 yards per game) and 5 touchdowns.

Allen averages 26.5 fantasy points per game against Miami.

That sample includes the Week 3 matchup between these teams.

In that matchup, Allen was the QB5 (23 points).

He completed 78.6% of his passes (22 of 28) with 3 touchdowns.

Miami ranks 28th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.542) and 29th in rushing points allowed per game to quarterbacks (4.8).

Jaxson Dart ($7,700/$5,700)

We cannot afford high-priced quarterbacks everywhere this week, and Dart has been the best point-per-dollar play since he took over as the starter.

He is the QB3 in overall scoring since he took over in Week 4.

He is averaging 22.3 points per game over that stretch and has three top-six scoring weeks over his past four games.

Chicago is 29th in pressure rate (29%).

When they have not pressured the opposing passer, Chicago has allowed a 75.4% completion rate (25th), 8.2 yards per pass attempt (28th), and a league-high 10.2% touchdown rate.

The Bears are 30th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.579).

Chicago is also 24th in rushing points allowed to quarterbacks, allowing J.J. McCarthy (25 yards and a touchdown), Geno Smith (31 yards), Jayden Daniels (52 yards), and Tyler Huntley (53 yards) to produce strong yardage via their legs.

There are some light weather concerns for this game, as it will be played in the rain or possibly the snow, and the Chicago field is not the best.

Even if the weather slows down the passing game, Dart has used his legs often.

Dart is averaging 6.9 rushing points per game, second behind Josh Allen (8.8).
