Best NFL Week 2 Games to Bet On
NFL Week 2 features a loaded slate of top-tier matchups. We've isolated a couple of our favorite games and our best bets. You can wager on either of these games to unlock any of the NFL sportsbook promos mentioned above.
Sunday, Sept. 14 | 1:00 PM ET | Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions (-5.5, O/U 47.5)
The Lions and Bears are both looking to avoid 0-2 holes to start the 2025 season. Coach Ben Johnson left his post as the Lions' OC to run the show in Chicago this season.
Before this season ends, we may discover that Dan Campbell and Johnson are at their best together, as both struggled in Week 1 losses. The Lions didn't look like the same 15-2 team they were last year, as they got beaten handily on the road at Green Bay. Johnson's Bears fell flat after a great opening drive in a 27-24 loss to Minnesota.
Look for Aidan Hutchinson and the pass rush to try to get after young quarterback Caleb Williams, who showed a lot of mobility on Monday night before eventually succumbing to the rush. The Lions should also fare better against the lack of elite pass rushers the Bears have, and Jared Goff usually is much sharper and dangerous at home.
Sunday, Sept. 14 | 4:05 PM ET | Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts (+2.5, O/U 42.5)
We currently inhabit a world where Daniel Jones has led the Colts to a score on 100% of the team's drives after a stunning 33-8 win over the Dolphins in Week 1. No one saw that coming.
Jones was excellent in his team debut, but we'll find out very quickly how much of it was him and how much was the Miami defense. The Denver defense is one of the best in the league, with far greater talent in the secondary to cover those receivers and apply pressure on Jones, who still takes sacks at a higher-than-average rate.
But Denver quarterback Bo Nix needs to be much sharper, as he struggles in his Year 2 debut. He threw three interceptions in last year's 31-13 win over the Colts at Mile High that was keyed by a defensive return touchdown. He'll need to do a better job on the road indoors, where Sean Payton's offenses have historically thrived.
