Best NFL Week 4 Sunday Games to Bet On
NFL Week 4 has many excellent games this Sunday, starting with the Ireland matchup between the Steelers and Vikings. That said, we will preview big games featuring last year's two Super Bowl teams and give our betting predictions.
Sunday | 1:00 PM ET | Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3.5, O/U 44.5)
The Eagles have lost one game in the last year that Jalen Hurts started and finished. It was a 33-16 loss in Week 4 in Tampa Bay, and it was a domination by Baker Mayfield's Buccaneers on both sides of the ball. Hurts and Nick Sirianni's team have also lost two playoff games in Tampa Bay, including a thrashing to end the 2023 season. So, if there's a team that has Philly's number, it has been Tampa Bay.
But the Buccaneers enter this game 3-0 like the Eagles, albeit in a slightly different fashion. The 2025 Buccaneers are the first team to start a season 3-0, thanks to scoring the game-winning points in the final minute of each game. Mayfield has been excellent in clutch situations, and he could even get huge reinforcements back this week as he's been doing this without several starting linemen and no Chris Godwin at receiver. But the hope is for Godwin to return and give Mayfield another major slot weapon with rookie Emeka Egbuka already playing so well. Then the big addition would be left tackle Tristan Wirfs, an elite player who has yet to play this season because of injury.
However, we'll see if last week's 19-point comeback win by the Eagles is what sparks that offense that was so bland and unimpressive for 10 quarters this season behind new coordinator Kevin Patullo. The Eagles finally let Hurts throw the ball downfield and his skill players delivered. The special teams also blocked two field goals, and don't sleep on that factor as the Bucs had a blocked field goal go back for a touchdown against the Jets last week. This should be a good one with major NFC playoff implications.
Sunday | 4:25 PM ET | Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs (+2.5, O/U 48.5)
They may both be 1-2, but that makes the stakes all the higher as neither of these Super Bowl contenders wants to fall to 1-3. It's a fascinating matchup coming at the right time as the Ravens are playing some great offense, the Chiefs look much better defensively the last two weeks, and there's a lot of history between these teams. Lamar Jackson is only 1-5 against the Chiefs, including losses in the 2023 AFC Championship Game and Week 1 last year, with Derrick Henry held in check.
In fact, the Ravens are enduring their worst two-game stretch of running the ball in the Lamar era. It just hasn't been that effective, and Henry has fumbled twice in big spots this year. We'll see if the Chiefs can do it to them again, as Steve Spagnuolo usually comes up with good plans to slow down Baltimore and put the game on Lamar's arms and legs.
But it's the other side of the ball that should be the most interesting to watch. The Chiefs are still without Rashee Rice (suspended) but are looking to get Xavier Worthy back after he dislocated his shoulder in Brazil. He scored two touchdowns in his NFL debut a year ago against Baltimore, and right now, the Ravens look lost defensively. No team has allowed more points than the Ravens (97) through Week 3, and no team in NFL history has scored more points (111) to have a losing record through three games than the 2025 Ravens.
Patrick Mahomes still ranks No. 5 in QBR, and he has the Chiefs' top eight in EPA and drive stats despite the flaws at receiver, running back, and offensive line. His scrambling has never been better, and he seems to have built something with Tyquan Thornton, as the deep ball is back and well in Kansas City. Now, when you add Worthy to the mix, the Chiefs could get back to looking like the offense we used to see.
It should be a great game, and the Chiefs are always a great pick as an underdog, with Mahomes as the quarterback. Don't discount Baltimore having to go on the road after playing Monday night, too, and the Ravens are missing two key defenders again in Nnamdi Madubuike and Kyle Van Noy. They may be walking into Kansas City at the worst time, staring a 1-3 start in the face on both sides.
