Top NFL Week 8 Games to Bet On

The NFL Week 8 schedule has plenty of quality games with great betting opportunities (even if six teams are on a bye week). Here are two top games you can wager on at top football betting sites.

Sunday | 1:00 PM ET | Buffalo Bills vs. Carolina Panthers (+7.5, O/U 45.5)

The Carolina Panthers are 4-3 in coach Dave Canales' second season, and they'll hope to drop the Bills to that same record after this one in Carolina. However, the Bills are coming off a bye week, and quarterback Josh Allen has never lost three straight games he started and finished in the NFL. The only three-game losing streak he was part of happened to end the 2019 season, but that included a middle game in Week 17 where the Bills rested starters early for the playoffs. So, you can say Allen is trying to avoid a historic losing streak for him, and he's coming off a bye week on top of things.

But the Buffalo offense certainly has problems. They're turning the ball over more than last year, when they set a record with eight giveaways in 17 games. They've lost the turnover battle two weeks in a row after not doing so in a record 26 straight games. The offensive line is still cohesive and doing well in run blocking for James Cook, but Allen is already about to eclipse his sack total from all of 2024 by Halloween. Part of the problem has been injuries, as Allen didn't have tight end Dalton Kincaid in the Atlanta loss, in which Josh Palmer was knocked out early with an injury. Keon Coleman also hasn't developed well in Year 2 of his career after the Bills chose to draft him over speedster Xavier Worthy (Chiefs), Ladd McConkey (Chargers), and Ricky Pearsall (49ers).

Buffalo's run defense also has been terrible, which could be a problem with how the Panthers rush the ball at home with Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle this year. However, the elephant in the room is Bryce Young, who is injured and may not play Sunday, prompting Andy Dalton to get the start. But Dalton is a vet, he's had some success in this offense, and the Buffalo defense simply isn't imposing in any way right now. Don't be surprised if Dalton plays very well, and if he can keep the turnovers to a minimum, Carolina has upset value in this one as the Bills have been sluggish against a soft schedule all season.

🎯 Best Bet: Over 45.5. Carolina's offense shows up at home, but the Bills score even more to push the over.

Sunday| 8:20 PM ET | Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (+3, O/U 44.5)

The NFL schedule makers knew what they were doing by putting Aaron Rodgers against the Jets in Week 1, and now he'll get his other revenge game against the Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 8. The Jets game went great for Rodgers (4 touchdowns and a game-winning drive), but not so great for the Pittsburgh defense, which made Justin Fields look like a legitimate quarterback. The Steelers also nearly blew an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter to Carson Wentz (Vikings) in Ireland, and they gave up a late lead to Joe Flacco in Cincinnati last week. When Pittsburgh's defense isn't forcing turnovers, it's as bad as any defense in the NFL in 2025 despite the price tag of its veteran players.

However, this is precisely what Mike Tomlin does best. He'll lose a game where he's a 5.5-point favorite in Cincinnati, and people will doubt him. Then he'll come out and win at home as a 3-point underdog against a Green Bay team that technically has the best record in the NFC (4-1-1). The numbers back it up, too, as Tomlin covers the spread over 70% of the time as a home underdog, the best record in the NFL since 2007.

Also, Jordan Love could always be good for a bad turnover. Rodgers will undoubtedly bring his A game for this one, which is personal to him, and he's coming off a great game where he threw a touchdown to three different tight ends. The Packers gave up two touchdowns to tight end Trey McBride in Arizona last week, and they struggled to stop Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Combine a proud Pittsburgh team at home with Rodgers having some sweet revenge in mind in what is likely the only chance he'll get to face the Packers, and you should expect the Steelers to come away with this one. Remember, Green Bay has already lost in Cleveland and nearly blew the Arizona game last week.

🎯 Best Bet: Steelers +3. Rodgers and Tomlin do it again by upsetting Green Bay on SNF.
