Best NFL Week 14 Games to Bet

The NFL Week 14 schedule is packed with important games, including seven divisional matchups. We tried our best to narrow it down to two important Sunday games with a preview for each below.

Sunday | 1:00 PM ET | Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens (-5.5, O/U 42.5)

The AFC North's greatest rivalry continues at a time when both teams are 6-6 and coming off disappointing home losses. The multi-MVP quarterbacks both come in bruised, with Aaron Rodgers getting his nose bloodied on a strip-sack for a touchdown by Joey Bosa last week. Lamar Jackson turned the ball over three times and suffered the second-largest defeat of his career (18 points) at the hands of the Bengals' bottom-ranked defense.

But if you know anything about Steelers vs. Ravens, you know you can throw all records out, and it should be close. That's assuming the Steelers remember how to play a 60-minute game, as they have repeatedly faltered after halftime against good teams (Seahawks, Packers, Chargers, Bears, and Bills). Meanwhile, the Ravens are trying to play complementary football, as the offense carried the load early in the year when the defense was struggling. Now, the roles have reversed, and Jackson has not thrown a touchdown pass in his last three games.

The Steelers allowed 249 rushing yards to the Bills, the most by an opponent in Pittsburgh since 1975. They'll have to fix that in a hurry with Derrick Henry up next. In last year's AFC wild card game, a 28-14 win by the Ravens, Henry rushed for 186 yards as part of a 299-yard day for Baltimore on the ground. With Jackson struggling early in his career against the Steelers, he seems to have figured them out with two good games in a row last December and January. That's bad news for the Steelers if they want to win the AFC North, as they'll need at least a split, if not a sweep of Baltimore, to pull it off.

With the Pittsburgh crowd chanting “Fire Mike Tomlin” during Sunday's game, we'll also see how the coach, in Year 19 on the job, responds in a big game. His veteran defense has not performed as expected, and Rodgers is struggling to find reliable wide receiver options. This could be the moment the Ravens force the Steelers on the path to their first losing record since 2003. But this rivalry often brings out the best in both teams.

Sunday | 8:20 PM ET | Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5, O/U 42.5)

It is not an exaggeration to say Sunday night is the biggest game of Patrick Mahomes' regular-season career with the Chiefs. After going to seven straight AFC Championship Games, the Chiefs (6-6) are in actual peril of missing on the playoffs altogether despite some great numbers from Mahomes this year. They just lost a game for the first time in which he threw four touchdowns without an interception in Dallas, and now he'll likely have to face Houston's No. 1 defense in a must-win game this Sunday night without some starting offensive linemen due to injuries.

Meanwhile, the Texans were 0-3 but actually came into this game with a better record (7-5) than the Chiefs thanks to a four-game winning streak. The defense has been fantastic all season, but C.J. Stroud has gotten better as the season's gone on, and he helped lead a game-winning drive in an important 20-16 win in Indianapolis last week. The Texans held the Colts' No. 1 scoring offense to just 16 points, even without getting any takeaways.

The Texans lost two games at Arrowhead late in the 2024 season, including the 23-14 loss in the AFC divisional round in which Stroud took eight sacks, most of them coming in the final few drives. However, the Chiefs have struggled to generate pressure and sacks on quarterbacks this year. Their saving grace is that they've played very well at home, never allowing more than 20 points. It's the road where they've lost five games and allowed over 20 points to winning teams each time. We'll see if Steve Spagnuolo can force Stroud into some mistakes. The Chiefs' only home loss since 2024 was in Week 2 against the Eagles (20-17) this year, a game in which they were without Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.

However, this will largely hinge on how Mahomes handles the pass rush and the great defense. He probably won't have left tackle Josh Simmons, who injured his wrist in Dallas. We'll see if guard Trey Smith can return, and if right tackle Jawaan Taylor can return. About the last thing Mahomes wants to face is the season on the line with multiple linemen out against a fierce pass rush. That's the situation he faced in his two Super Bowl blowout losses.

Sunday might as well be the Super Bowl for the Chiefs in 2025 if they are going to make the playoffs again. However, don't discount Houston's motivation to keep winning and reclaim the AFC South for a third consecutive year, as a three-way race is underway with the Colts and Jaguars, who face each other on Sunday afternoon.
