The CFP National Championship Game is Monday night, after the NFL Divisional Round on Saturday and Sunday, featuring a total of five football playoff games. Let's preview two of the most exciting games below.

Saturday | 4:30 PM ET | Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos (-1.5, O/U 46.5)

The 2025 NFL season has been wide open in the AFC with the Chiefs and Ravens missing the playoffs. That's led to many believing Josh Allen has no excuses not to get to his first Super Bowl in Year 8, but don't sleep on the Denver Broncos, who already ended Kansas City's reign in the AFC West, and now they are the No. 1 seed with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs as they seek their first playoff win since Super Bowl 50. Bo Nix has a chance to make a name for himself in his second season if he can knock off Allen and the Bills at home this Saturday afternoon.

But the spread has been moving a lot for this game, with the Bills opening as a 1.5-point road favorite before Denver was a 1.5-point favorite. It could even settle at 1 point or a pick 'em by Saturday's kickoff. The fact is, Denver is rested and a much healthier team going into the game. The Bills have some defensive injuries in the secondary (Maxwell Hairston and Jordan Poyer), and they have very little wide receiver depth to speak of after season-ending injuries to Joshua Palmer, Gabe Davis, and Tyrell Shavers. But the Bills are uniquely built to handle these injuries, and it's not like Shavers or Palmer were the key to beating a great pass rush and a secondary led by Patrick Surtain II.

The Bills have the No. 1 rushing offense, and it was on full display a year ago when they defeated the Broncos 31-7 in a wild card matchup in Buffalo the last time these teams met. Buffalo rushed for over 200 yards, and Allen had a big game with contributions from his backs and tight ends, who will need to help him carry the offense this Sunday too. Brandin Cooks has some on lately, and don't forget Allen's legs as a difference maker even if he's been banged up the last month. He'll leave it all out on the field as he did last week in Jacksonville when he led his first game-winning drive for his first road win of his playoff career.

The Broncos have been living on the edge all season with a record 12 wins after trailing in the game, and they were 7-1 at game-winning drive opportunities. However, the Buffalo defense has eight saves and zero blown leads in one-score games in the fourth quarter this year, so something has to give there. The Bills intercepted Trevor Lawrence on the final drive last week to preserve their win, and their pass defense making up for flaws at stopping the run could be their key to winning  a Super Bowl this year. Nix has led some clutch drives but his erratic play also gives you pause as the Broncos did not look good in their final three games of the season before going on the bye week.

But Sean Payton has managed four teams out of a bye week in New Orleans where he was 4-0 in the divisional round. However, he's 1-4 in his last five playoff games, and Bo Nix is 1-8 in games against teams with a winning record who score more than 17 points, which Buffalo is certainly capable of doing no matter who they line up at receiver. It should be a great game and potentially a legacy-shaping one for these quarterbacks and teams as they both look to stand in the spotlight in the AFC without the Kansas City Chiefs involved this postseason.

Monday| 7:30 PM ET | Miami Hurricanes vs. Indiana Hoosiers (-8.5, O/U 47.5)

The 2025-26 CFP all comes down to Monday night with the National Championship Game between the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes (13-2) and No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers (15-0). Indiana is an 8.5-point favorite and can complete the perfect 16-0 season, which would complete one of college football's greatest turnarounds for coach Curt Cignetti. Just Google him (he wins). But it's been a remarkable season for Indiana to this point, and the team has been close to perfect in the CFP, dispatching of Alabama in the Rose Bowl by a 38-3 final, then taking it to Oregon in a 56-22 win in the Peach Bowl. Some are saying Indiana will go down as an all-time great team with one more victory on Monday night.

But standing in Indiana's way is the Miami Hurricanes, who have had their own resurgence this season under fourth-year coach Mario Cristobal. The Hurricanes got Georgia quarterback Carson Beck in the transfer portal, and he's led a very balanced, effective offense with a strong running back in Mark Fletcher Jr. who is having a great postseason run. The offensive line has been a huge asset to Beck as well. The defense is No. 5 in the nation in scoring, and it has done a great job in the playoffs, holding the Texas A&M Aggies to a field goal, then having a dominant showing against Julian Sayin and the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Ole Miss Rebels gave them a game, but Beck was able to scramble for a game-winning touchdown for a 31-27 win in the final minute.

The Hurricanes also get to play this game in their home stadium in Miami, but unless famous alumni Michael Irvin bought every ticket, the Hoosiers are going to travel well too and represent their team here. But many have pointed to Indiana's experience being a decisive factor in why they're so dominant on both sides of the ball beyond the coaching job from Cignetti. Indiana lacks the five-star recruits of the teams they're shellacking, but they have a lot of players with four-plus years of college football experience instead of a bunch of kids who are 18 or 19 years old.

The most famous Hoosier is quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman Trophy winner and favorite for the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has been almost flawless in the CFP, completing 31-of-36 passes for 8 touchdowns and no interceptions so far. He's just been incredibly efficient, but he'll need to protect the ball against an opportunistic defense that has made life hard for the likes of Marcel Reed and Julian Sayin this postseason. But the Hoosiers also have the No. 2 scoring defense and can make life hard on Carson Beck, who has had turnover problems in his career.

The Hurricanes' best hope is their superior athletes in the trenches really show up and give them an edge to make this a four-quarter game where they can steal it late like they did against Ole Miss. But with the way Indiana is playing right now, there may not be much of a fourth quarter to watch here. Favorites have also covered in six straight college football National Championship Games, so we'll see if the Hurricanes can end that streak and at least make it a one-score possession game in the fourth quarter for some exciting drama to close the 2025-26 college football season.
