Cleveland Browns Head Coach Candidates
- Ravens OC Todd Monken
- Seahawks DC Aden Durde
The Browns decided to move on from two-time Coach of the Year winner Kevin Stefanski following a 5-12 season.
Cleveland likely needed a change after six years of mostly losing football with Stefanski, but the front office did the coach no favors with the constant issues at quarterback.
It would not be a surprise if Stefanski lands on his feet with a new job this cycle.
Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Candidates
- Broncos DC Vance Joseph
- 49ers DC Robert Saleh
- Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver
- Patriots passing game coordinator Thomas Brown
- Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
It was not a surprise when news broke of the Cardinals firing Jonathan Gannon.
He had limited success over three seasons, and the defense — Gannon is a former defensive coordinator — was in shambles for most of 2025.
Still, the roster has not been good for his entire run, and as the front office has seemingly decided, Kyler Murray was not the answer at quarterback.
Moving forward, the new coaching staff will need to answer that quarterback question and find a way to get more out of the defense.
Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Candidates
- Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
- Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver
- Former Browns HC Kevin Stefanski
- Broncos DC Vance Joseph
Despite a hot end to the season, the Falcons moved on from Raheem Morris following his second 8-9 season in a row.
GM Terry Fontenot was also let go, setting up a completely new leadership hierarchy in Atlanta.
Whoever takes over for the Falcons will have some talent to work with on both sides of the ball, but the quarterback position remains a question despite the big money given to Kirk Cousins and the early draft pick spent on Michael Penix.
New York Giants Head Coach Candidates
- Former Ravens HC John Harbaugh
- Interim coach Mike Kafka
- Former Browns HC Kevin Stefanski
- Broncos DC Vance Joseph
- Former Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury
- Colts DC Lou Anarumo
- Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
The Giants were never able to recapture the magic of their 2022 playoff run, and Brian Daboll paid the price with his job in November.
New York seems to have found their quarterback of the future with Jaxson Dart, they have a true No. 1 receiver in Malik Nabers, assuming he comes back 100% from his knee injury, and they have edge talent on defense.
That could be an appealing combo for potential coaching candidates.
As for options, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler linked the Giants with Packers DC Jeff Hafley, who was the head coach at Boston College before joining the Packers.
The Giants will also interview interim coach Mike Kafka.
Las Vegas Raiders Head Coach Candidates
- Broncos DC Vance Joseph
- Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
A hire that seemed destined to fail from the moment it was announced, Pete Carroll was relieved of his duties after just one season with the Raiders.
Carroll's reunion with Geno Smith simply did not work, and the team moved on from OC Chip Kelly in the middle of the season.
It is back to the drawing board for the Raiders and minority owner Tom Brady, who will reportedly be involved in the search for a new head coach.
That new coach will have the services of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft, almost certain to be a quarterback.
Baltimore Ravens
- TBD
While it was not a complete surprise, it is always noteworthy when a coach who has been with a team for 18 seasons is let go.
John Harbaugh won 180 regular season games during his time with the Ravens and brought home a Super Bowl in 2012.
His teams underperformed in the playoffs in recent seasons, however, and failed to reach the postseason for the first time since 2021 this year.
Even so, Harbaugh's extended run of success will likely earn him another head coach job this cycle if he wants one.
Tennessee Titans Head Coach Candidates
- Chiefs OC Matt Nagy
- Broncos DC Vance Joseph
- Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo
- Colts DC Lou Anarumo
- Former Falcons HC Raheem Morris
- Former Browns HC Kevin Stefanski
- Former Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury
- Former Cowboys HC Jason Garrett
The Tians became the first team to enter the coaching carousel after Brian Callahan was fired in October.
Callahan had an awful run as head coach, posting a 4-19 record and even more damning an identical 4-19 record against the spread, showing his Titans teams very rarely overachieved expectations.
The Titans are in an okay spot with some talent on defense and a young quarterback, but they need to make the right hire to accelerate Cam Ward‘s development.
The Titans have been linked with more experienced coaches like Chiefs OC Matt Nagy, Broncos DC Vance Joseph, and 49ers DC Robert Saleh.
The Titans quickly moved to request an interview with Nagy and Joseph after the season ended.
They have also requested interviews with Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo and Colts DC Lou Anarumo.
2026 General Manager Hires
- Dolphins: Vacant
- Falcons: Vacant
Miami Dolphins GM Candidates
- Packers VP of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan
- Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby
- Rams assistant GM John McKay
- 49ers assistant GM RJ Gillen
- 49ers VP of player personnel Tariq Ahmad
- 49ers director of scouting Josh Williams
- Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander
The Dolphins have not moved on from coach Mike McDaniel, but they did send Chris Grier packing in October.
With the Tua Tagovailoa situation heading to an end and questions throughout the roster, it was not a surprise when the Dolphins decided to fire Grier.
Miami brought in Troy Aikman to help advise on the general manager search.
Atlanta Falcons GM Candidates
- 49ers director of scouting Josh Williams
- Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham
In addition to moving on from the head coach, the Falcons decided to let go of GM Terry Fontenot following the season.
Fontenot led two of the most interesting drafts of the last two seasons, selecting Michael Penix despite paying big money to Kirk Cousins in 2024 and then trading a 2026 first-round pick to move up for James Pearce Jr. this year.
Pearce had a good rookie season, logging 10.5 sacks, but that move will leave the new front office with limited resources as they look to rebuild.
As for that front office, it will have a different look.
The Falcons plan to hire a “president of football” to whom the new coach and general manager will report.
