Best NFL DFS Stacks, Week 2: Lineup Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Week 2 of the NFL DFS season has arrived, and it is time to win some big money using stacks.

While fantasy football stacks are becoming more prevalent in redraft leagues, the ability to stack players has always been one of the main strategic plays in daily fantasy.

This weekly article will focus on the best stack plays in a given week for DFS.

While these plays can be applicable to FanDuel and other daily fantasy sites, this article will focus primarily on DraftKings pricing.

What is stacking in DFS?

A fantasy football stack is when you take two or more players from the same team to double your chances of a big score if that team does well. This is a strategy that is especially useful in games with high over unders.

While you can stack a quarterback with a running back and or a tight end, we’ll be focusing on the best stacks available between a quarterback and his pass catchers

What is most important when stacking in DFS?

What is most important to pay attention to, with or without stacking, is a player's cost and their ultimate output of points.

Ultimately, factoring in the elements of stacking players along with a strong return on investment on players' costs will put you in the best position to cash in this season.

Week 2 NFL DFS Stacks & Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel

Without further ado, here are some of the best DFS stack options for Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season:

QB Justin Fields ($5700) & WR Garrett Wilson ($6500)

  • Combined Price: $12,200

Justin Fields was drafted as a fringe QB1 in most leagues, so his big performance in Week 1 was not a complete shock.

He was second among all quarterbacks in rushing fantasy points in the season opener, gaining 48 yards and scoring twice on the ground.

More surprising, though, was his passing performance.

He only dropped back to throw 25 times — 29th among all quarterbacks in Week 1 — but he completed 72.7% of his passes for 9.9 yards per attempt.

He was credited with an on-target throw on all 22 of his attempts, which included 8 attempts of 10 air yards or more.

That is obviously a minute sample size, but it is a good showing against what we expect to be a good defense for a player who has a career 23.3% off-target rate on throws of 10 air yards or more.

That career rate would have ranked 28th among 36 qualified quarterbacks last season.

Overall, Fields finished 16th in passing fantasy points in Week 1, but he was fifth in passing fantasy points per dropback.

Including rushing production, he was second in fantasy points per dropback.

That could matter this week with the Bills coming to town.

The Jets are nearly touchdown underdogs at home, and while there were a lot of points scored in their game against the Steelers last week, the score never pushed them into a pass-heavy script.

That could change this week against the Bills.

Fields has already shown a fantasy ceiling to smash at this price, and he may be forced to drop back more this week, giving him more opportunities both to throw and to scramble.

If the Jets are prompted to throw more, the targets should head toward Garrett Wilson.

Wilson was the target on 42.9% of Fields' attempts in Week 1, catching 7 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.

Promisingly, Wilson lined up in the slot for 37.1% of his routes, which would be a career high if that usage sticks for the full season.

Wilson has averaged 1.98 yards per route run so far in his career from the slot vs. 1.6 yards per route run on the outside.

The Bills were crushed by Ravens receivers, specifically Zay Flowers, in the season opener, allowing 12.5 yards per target to the position.

QB Drake Maye ($5200), TE Hunter Henry ($4000), & WR Tyreek Hill ($6400)

  • Combined Price: $15,600

Dolphins vs. Patriots sets up as a perfect buy-low game for two teams coming off disappointing openers.

Drake Maye is the more enticing quarterback play for the game despite a lackluster 287-1-1 passing line in Week 1.

Maye struggled in that game, getting credited with an off-target throw on 15.2% of his passes, and he did not look comfortable in the new offense.

Perhaps that continues here, but a date with the Dolphins defense that allowed Daniel Jones to carve them up for 9.4 yards per attempt could be exactly what Maye needs.

Miami does have a good front that can get pressure, which is a concern, but they are even weaker at corner with Storm Duck scheduled to miss this game.

New England has a lot of options to pair with Maye.

It might make sense to bet on an expanded role for Stefon Diggs in Week 2, or it is easy to make a case for Kayshon Boutte, who has three quality fantasy outings in his last four games going back to last season.

Hunter Henry stands out, though, after tying Boutte for the team lead in targets in Week 1.

There was an expectation that Henry's role would decrease with the new additions at wide receiver, but he still ran a route on 73.6% of New England's dropbacks and was targeted on 20.5% of his routes in Week 1.

The Dolphins allowed 9.6 yards per target to tight ends and were on their way to giving up a massive game to Tyler Warren before the Colts shut down the offense.

On the other side, 3 turnovers and a complete inability to create anything on offense led to yet another disappointing Tyreek Hill outing, but the underlying metrics were not awful.

After being targeted on 23% of his routes last year, Hill's target rate per route was back up to 27.3% in Week 1, and he had a 27.8% target share through the first three quarters.

The Patriots defense allowed 10.6 yards per attempt in Week 1, second worst in the league, and will once again be without Christian Gonzalez.

The Dolphins have major concerns on offense including missing two starting offensive linemen, but for Maye to hit, Miami will likely need to push back in this game.

If the Dolphins offense can push back, a lot of that production should come through Hill, making him a sensible bring back on the other side with the added benefit of a likely low roster percentage.
