Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Baker Mayfield: Mayfield has only thrown for 5.2 yards and 5.7 yards per pass attempt to open the year after averaging 7.9 Y/A in 2024, but he keeps turning in usable fantasy lines through passing touchdowns and rolling over the rushing production we saw from a year ago.

Mayfield has been QB11 (22.6 points) and QB13 (19.9 points) to kick off the season.

He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in both games.

Since the start of 2023, Mayfield has had a league-high 24 games with multiple touchdown passes.

After rushing for a career-high 22.2 yards per game in 2024, Mayfield has opened the year with 39 and 33 yards rushing.

Mayfield is again in that QB1 area this week, attached to a significant home favorite with a high team total.

The Jets have allowed 7.4 yards per pass attempt (24th) and are 29th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.578).

Jets QB: The Jets are entering the week with Justin Fields in concussion protocol.

A week after the Jets offense provided cause for excitement, they immediately crashed back to Earth.

Before his exit on Sunday, Fields was 3 of 11 passing for only 27 yards.

He did still run for 49 yards, but we have two of the most polarizing outcomes for a player who has a history of running hot and cold.

After posting the highest EPA per play of his career in a start in Week 1 (0.49), Fields had his lowest EPA per play in Week 2 (-0.74).

If Fields is cleared for Sunday, he is a volatile fantasy starter.

I prefer to use him as a QB2 if he plays, since he may run less as a form of protection.

If Fields cannot be cleared for Sunday, then Tyrod Taylor will make the start.

Taylor would be a QB2 and streaming option since he also comes with some production via his legs.

Taylor is 36 years old, having last started games with the Giants in 2023.

He was the average QB13 in fantasy scoring over his complete games that year, averaging 17.1 points and 29.6 rushing yards per game.
