How to Choose the Best College Football Betting Offer
In order to figure out which college football betting promo to choose, you should consider which best matches your betting style and budget—or at least your plan for your first wager.
Best College Football Betting Promos for Casual Bettors ($5-$20 Bets)
If you prefer to make a lower initial investment, meaning a relatively small first bet, a bet-and-get bonus is the right choice. This will yield the most bang for your buck, by far.
With Bet365’s $200 bonus, you’re getting 40x your initial stake—plus you get to keep any returns resulting from your first bet if it wins. It doesn’t get much better than that if you want to max out a low-stakes bonus.
Sportsbooks offering a low initial investment bonus are:
- Bet365: Bet $5, get $200
- DraftKings: Bet $5, get $200 if your first bet wins
- FanDuel: Bet $5, get $300 if your first bet wins
- Hard Rock Bet: Bet $5, get $150 if your first bet wins
Best College Football Betting Promos for Experienced Bettors ($100+)
Bettors who feel comfortable making a larger first wager would likely benefit more from a first-bet protection bonus.
That way, you can get the most out of your welcome bonus in the event that your first bet misses. And of course, if it doesn’t, you’ll have a nice return on your mid- to high-range first bet.
BetMGM has the highest first-bet safety net offer at up to $1,500. Here are the sportsbooks offering a good welcome bonus for more experienced bettors:
- BetMGM: Up to $1,500 first-bet safety net
- Bet365: Up to $1,000 first-bet safety net
- BetRivers: Up to $500 first-bet safety net

How to Claim a College Football Betting Bonus
The process for claiming any sportsbook promo on this list is roughly the same. Follow our step-by-step guide to make it as easy as possible.
- Install the official sportsbook app or visit their website.
- Click ‘Sign Up’ or ‘Join Now.’
- Provide your personal details, such as your email, address, phone number, and last four digits of your SSN.
- Enter the college football betting promo code if necessary.
- Satisfy the minimum deposit requirement (normally $5 or $10)
- Make a qualifying first bet (typically $5+).
- After your bet settles, receive your bonus.
Verifying Your Account and Meeting Basic Requirements
In nearly all states, the minimum age to open an account on the sportsbooks in this list is 21. However, there are a few states where the minimum age is only 18 (Wyoming, New Hampshire, and Kentucky).
Once you sign up, you must verify your email address. Check your inbox and follow the link in the email. You may also be asked to verify your phone number and provide a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license (for KYC purposes).
Claim your welcome bonus within the validity period for the offer, which is normally 30 days but could be as little as one week after launching your new account.
Making Your First Qualifying Wager
It’s essential to read the terms of the offer carefully so you know exactly how to claim it. Note any minimum odds requirement for the first bet and the minimum bet amount.
Once you’ve successfully made a qualifying bet for the welcome offer, you may need to wait for the bet to settle before you receive your bonus bets. Some offers, such as the DraftKings promo for college football, instantly give you your bonus bets.
How College Football Sportsbook Promos Work
Most sportsbook sign-up bonuses can be grouped into two main categories, which we'll go over in more detail below.
Guaranteed Bonuses vs. Conditional Bonuses: What’s the Difference?
We’ve been referring to some bonuses as ‘bet-and-get’ offers. These are guaranteed as long as you make a bet according to the terms of the offer. Bet-and-get offers are normally given to you regardless of whether your qualifying wager wins.
Some bet-and-get offers result in an instant bonus, like DraftKings’, while others make you wait until your first wager has settled. Either way, a guaranteed bonus rewards you simply for making a bet.
Conditional offers, as the name implies, only give you the bonus after a certain outcome. For example, a first-bet safety net will only give you bonus bets if your first wager misses.
FanDuel’s welcome offer is dependent on winning your first bet. If your first bet loses, you receive nothing. This is another type of conditional offer.
Bonus Rules & Wagering Requirements
To use bonus bets, you can normally find them in your bet slip after you make a selection. Then, choose ‘Use Bonus Bets.’
Bonus bets generally come with certain rules or restrictions. You cannot withdraw bonus bets. Also, the bonus bet stake isn't returned in winning bets.
Wagering requirements for most bonus bets at sportsbooks are 1x, allowing you to withdraw winnings after just one bet. Bonus bets have a set validity period, usually seven days. Double-check to be sure your bonus doesn’t expire before you have a chance to use it.
How to Get the Most From College Football Betting Offers
If you want to maximize each college football betting site promo, there are a few things to keep in mind. Here are some pointers:
1. Utilize Multiple Sportsbooks
Since there are many different college football sportsbook promos to take advantage of, it only makes sense to open several accounts. That way, you’ll get a higher combined bonus.
Not only that, you’ll be able to compare lines between bookmakers. This is an essential part of being a sports bettor. Shopping around for the best lines will give you better odds.
You can also look for boosts that match the bet types you want to make, giving you an opportunity to get even more value from each account.
2. Claim College Football Sportsbook Bonuses at the Right Time
Timing is key when it comes to college football sportsbook promos. Each offer normally has a set expiry date, and although it’s almost certain that once that date comes, it’ll be replaced by another bonus offer, the new offer might not be as good.
With college football season underway, some of the best offers of the year are available right now. For example, FanDuel’s offer has jumped up from $150 in bonus bets to $300 in bonus bets for the start of the football season.
3. Claim Both New User Bonuses & Ongoing Promotions
After getting the bonus from college football sportsbook promos, look for other promotions that might be available in their Promos section. This could be offers for their casino, horsebook, or other ongoing sportsbook offers.
One of the most common promos you’ll find there is odds boosts. Just about every bookmaker offers them. So for the biggest NCAAF matchups of the week, you may find some valuable boosts to take advantage of.
Make sure you also sign up for the sportsbook’s loyalty program if they have one.

Best College Football Week 11 Games to Bet On
The College Football Playoff rankings were recently released, and a couple of big games that will be a factor in the rankings this Saturday are #9 Oregon hitting the road to face #20 Iowa, and a faltering LSU team that can turn things around, hosting bitter rival #9 Alabama.
3:30 PM ET | Saturday, Nov. 8 | #9 Oregon Ducks vs. #20 Iowa Hawkeyes (+6, O/U 40.5)
After suffering their first loss of the season to an Indiana team that is now #2 in the nation, Oregon has won its last two games by a combined score of 77-17. However, the teams they faced had a combined 1-10 record in Big Ten play.
The Ducks have one of the best rushing offenses in the nation, boast a star quarterback in Dante Moore (1,772 yards, 19 TD, 4 INT), and rank fifth and sixth, respectively, in scoring and defensive scoring. The big matchup in this game is the dynamic Ducks’ offense facing an Iowa defense that ranks fourth in the nation, allowing an average of only 13.1 points per game.
Both of Iowa’s losses have come against ranked teams, and like Oregon, they also lost to a currently undefeated Indiana team. They crushed a good Minnesota team in their last game, winning 41-3, but their other three Big 10 wins came against teams that are a combined 1-15 in conference play. The defense is their strength, as they rank 52nd in scoring (31.3 ppg).
The Hawkeyes are nearly all about the run, as they rank 39th in rushing yards per game and 132nd out of 136 FBS teams in passing yards per game. To win, Iowa needs to play good D and run the ball well, facing an Oregon run defense that ranks 32nd in the nation.
🎯 SFA Best Bet: Oregon has too many weapons on offense for Iowa to handle, and the Ducks will win and cover.
7:30 PM ET | Saturday, Nov. 8 | LSU Tigers vs. #4 Alabama Crimson Tide (-10, O/U 49)
LSU (5-3) was ranked as high as #2 this season, but the wheels have fallen off. They have lost two in a row and three of their last four games and fired head coach Brian Kelly. While they are out of the playoff picture, they can play spoiler with a win over Alabama in one of the biggest rivalries in college football. The Tigers have only averaged 22 ppg over their last four games, and they gave up a season high 49 points in their last game, which was at home, no less.
Garrett Nussmeier (1,806 yards, 12 TD, 5 INT) started the season as one of the Heisman favorites, and while he has three TD and no INT in the last two games, he has only totaled 393 yards. He has to do more, as the run game for LSU only ranks 124th in the nation in rushing yards per game. The matchup is not favorable for them, as Alabama’s pass defense, which ranks seventh in the nation, is stout, while its run defense ranks only 63rd.
Alabama (7-1) has run the table since losing its season opener, and it already has four wins over ranked teams. They were shaky in their last game, needing two late TDs to beat a South Carolina team that is 1-6 in SEC play. They are tied for 30th in scoring (34.4 ppg) and rank 20th in points against (18.3 ppg).
Heisman candidateTy Simpson (2,184 yards, 20 TD, 1 INT) leads the 15th-ranked passing offense, but the rushing offense only ranks 114th. Bama will be facing an LSU defense that has given up a total of 80 points in its last two games.
🎯 SFA Best Bet: Alabama was not impressive last week, but it will be in this rivalry game, winning and covering against a reeling LSU team.
