Super Bowl 60 Betting Preview: Props & Popular Wagers
The Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 PM on Sunday. With that, we are going to highlight some of the most popular prop bets available now at sportsbooks and give you an idea of what you can expect from the Seahawks vs. Patriots showdown.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)
This is one of our favorite Super Bowl bets, as Smith-Njigba has been pretty much unstoppable all year long. The third-year wideout from Ohio State had 1,793 receiving yards on the season to go with 10 touchdown catches. He also has a touchdown catch in each of the Seahawks' playoff games so far, highlighted by a 10 catch, 153 yard game against the Rams last week.
Christian Gonzalez is a stud cornerback, but he will have his hands full with keeping Smith-Njigba at bay.
TreVeyon Henderson Over 17.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson hasn't had the best playoffs so far, not posting over 27 yards rushing in any of the Patriots' three wins en route to the Super Bowl. However, we expect that to change, as the young tailback will at least rack up over 17.5 rushing yards in the game. He's simply too good a player for the drought to go on much longer.
Drake Maye Under 220.5 Passing Yards (-110)
What a second year for the young quarterback from North Carolina. Maye led the entire NFL in QBR, posting a 77.1, and led his team to its first Super Bowl post-Bill Belichick era. With all that said, we think that Maye's inexperience on the big stage might show up and could lead to a mediocre game against a solid Seattle defense that will stop the run and bring pressure.
Sam Darnold Over 228.5 Passing Yards (-110)
After watching Darnold unload on the LA Rams defense in the NFC Championship game, this is a bet we are confident in. Darnold went wild, throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions. While New England has a better defense than LA, we still expect Darnold to play a great game. He's simply in the groove right now, and the Patriots' pass defense, with the exception of Christian Gonzalez, has shown some holes at times recently.
