NFL Offensive Line Statistics: Best & Worst Offensive Lines

Offensive line play is tough to isolate because it relies on several other factors: how quickly the quarterback gets rid of the ball, how good the running backs are at finding holes, and many other concerns outside the control of the guys up front.

Still, there are some key statistics to look at when considering NFL offensive line play.

Biggest Riser: New York Jets

The Jets have spent their last two first-round picks on offensive linemen, and they’re finally seeing some payoff.

New York allowed pressure on just 21.7% of dropbacks in the 2025 preseason compared to 28% throughout 2024, a 22% improvement.

Whether or not rookie tackle Armand Membou and company will be able to replicate this recent success in the regular season remains to be seen.

Biggest Faller: Detroit Lions

Pro-Bowl Center Frank Ragnow hung up the cleats this offseason after seven elite years as a Lion.

His retirement shuffled this Lions line, and they appeared to experience some growing pains in the absence of their former captain.

The 2025 Preseason saw the Lions allow sacks on 11.6% of passing attempts in the preseason, more than double the 5.7% rate they posted in the regular season.

Is it premature to call them the biggest fallers after a mere lackluster preseason?

Perhaps, but it should be noted that both Graham Glasgow and Taylor Decker are entering the season on the ‘questionable’ list.

Honorable Mention: Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals enter the season ranked 12th on our 2025 Offensive Line Rankings, and their preseason performance only emphasizes their position around the middle of the pack.

Despite allowing pressure on 43.3% of dropbacks in the 2025 preseason (the highest rate in the league), they were still able to provide their quarterbacks 0.3 more seconds to throw per play than they did in the 2024 regular season.

While it sounds inconsequential, those three tenths of a second could be all the time Kyler Murray needs to find any one of his various young weapons.
