NFL Week 11 Injury Recap for all 32 teams

Week 12 of the NFL season is a bit of a crazy one with three games scheduled for Thanksgiving and zero teams enjoying a bye week.

With all 32 teams active for the first time since Week 5 and six of them playing on a short week, injuries will factor in even more than normal.

Here’s where every team stands as we turn the corner into the final stretch of the NFL season:

Arizona Cardinals Injuries

Rondale Moore suffered a groin injury in Mexico City on Monday night.

The Cardinals were forced to start Colt McCoy for the second consecutive week as Kyler Murray sat out due to his hamstring injury.

Atlanta Falcons Injuries

Kyle Pitts was moved to injured reserve on Monday. The tight end is out indefinitely after tearing his MCL and will likely need surgery to fix the issue.

It’s been a tough season for Pitts, catching just 47% of his targets and averaging 35.6 yards per game after posting 1,026 receiving yards as a rookie.

Parker Hesse is the next tight end on the depth chart, but he’s been used mainly as a blocker, earning just six targets despite playing 410 offensive snaps. MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser are the other healthy tight ends on the roster.

Baltimore Ravens Injuries

First-round rookie Kyle Hamilton left Sunday’s win over the Panthers early due to a knee injury and never returned. However, John Harbaugh told reporters on Monday that Hamilton’s knee is stable and he’s trending in the right direction.

Also injured on Sunday was Ronnie Stanley. The left tackle with a long history of ankle injuries suffered another one and only played 47 snaps in the win. Patrick Mekari filled in and allowed a sack. He previously started three games at left tackle earlier this season.

Buffalo Bills Injuries

Both Tremaine Edmunds and A.J. Epenesa are considered long shots to play on Thanksgiving against the Lions. Edmunds was inactive on Sunday and Epenesa suffered an ankle injury against the Browns.

Josh Allen was considered a limited participant in Monday’s walkthrough practice which seems to be the norm as he deals with his elbow injury.

Carolina Panthers Injuries

Panthers linebacker Cory Littleton left the stadium wearing a boot after being limited to just 12 snaps due to an ankle injury.

Littleton has played just 286 snaps this season, but is the team’s fourth-highest graded defender on Pro Football Focus. If he is unable to play against Denver, Damien Wilson could work his way back into the defense.

Wilson has made five starts this season, but played strictly special teams the last two weeks.

Chicago Bears Injuries

The Bears are considering Justin Fields day-to-day after he dislocated his left shoulder on Sunday against the Falcons. However, Matt Eberflus also told reporters that he hasn’t ruled out this injury being season-ending.

The second-year quarterback was enjoying the best stretch of his career before the injury, posting a passer rating of 103.3 and rushing for 470 yards over his last four games.

Trevor Siemian would be the starter against the Jets if Fields is inactive this week. His last win as a starter actually came at the Jets’ expense back in 2017. Since 2019, Siemian has completed 57 percent of his passes and averaged 6.0 yards per attempt.

Cincinnati Bengals Injuries

Ja’Marr Chase is expected to return to the practice field this week, however, he is still considered day-to-day and has not been cleared to play on Sunday just yet. Chase has been out since suffering a hip injury in Week 7.

After a one-week hiccup against the Browns, the Bengals’ offense has exploded for 79 points and 872 yards of total offense in their past two wins. On deck is the Tennessee Titans, a team Chase torched for 109 yards on five catches in the Divisional Round of the playoffs last season.

Running back Joe Mixon is in concussion protocol. He had a season-low 10 touches against the Steelers, playing only 21 snaps. Samaje Perine wasn’t an effective runner against the Steelers, but did have three receiving touchdowns.

Cleveland Browns Injuries

Starting center Ethan Pocic is expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a knee injury against the Bills. He was replaced by Hjalte Froholdt on Sunday who allowed three pressures in his first-career snaps at center.

Pocic has been a Pro Football Focus darling this season, trailing only Creed Humphrey in overall grade and run-blocking grade. Pocic has also allowed just one sack all season.

Dallas Cowboys Injuries

Micah Parsons was an estimated non-participant for Monday’s practice after suffering ankle and knee injuries against the Vikings on Sunday. Parsons did leave for a few plays in the third quarter, but returned and played 30 snaps, contributing two sacks and a forced fumble.

Both Parsons and Mike McCarthy told reporters that the linebacker should be fine for Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys had five other non-participants on Monday, including DeMarcus Lawrence (foot), Anthony Barr (hamstring), and Dante Fowler (illness)

Ezekiel Elliot was a limited participant after playing 21 snaps against the Vikings.

Denver Broncos Injuries

The Broncos lost Chase Edmonds to a high ankle sprain on Sunday and he is expected to miss “a lot of time,” according to Nathaniel Hackett. The team also released Melvin Gordon on Monday morning.

That leaves Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack as the two healthy running backs on Denver’s roster. Devine Ozigbo is also on the practice squad.

Murray has averaged 3.32 yards per carry since joining the Broncos in Week six and Mack hasn’t played a snap as a Bronco since being signed a month ago.

Detroit Lions Injuries

The Lions designated rookie first-round pick Jameson Williams to return from the IR this week. He hasn’t practiced with the team since tearing his ACL in the National Championship Game in January while he was still at Alabama.

While it’s probably unrealistic to expect Williams to play on Thanksgiving against the Bills, he could return soon and help mitigate the loss of Josh Reynolds who has been inactive due to a back injury since Week 8.

D’Andre Swift was a full participant in Monday’s practice, but it’s worth wondering what his role in the offense is when he’s fully healthy. Since returning in Week 8, Swift is averaging just 7.5 touches per game and played a total of 50 snaps in the last three games.

Green Bay Packers Injuries

The Packers have a long layoff going from Thursday Night Football last week to Sunday Night Football this week. Even with the 10-day break, Romeo Doubs is still expected to be inactive due to his ankle injury.

Fellow rookie Christian Watson has caught five touchdown passes in the last two weeks while also playing at least 80 percent of the offensive snaps each week.

Houston Texans Injuries

Derek Stingley Jr. is still recovering from his hamstring injury and will probably be inactive this week against Miami.

The Dolphins’ receiving corps isn’t the best one to face short-handed, but Desmond King II held his own starting opposite Steven Nelson last week against Washington.

The duo was targeted a combined seven times, allowing five completions for 36 yards in the loss.

Indianapolis Colts Injuries

Offensive guard Matt Pryor was hospitalized on Sunday due to an unspecified illness. He was released after being evaluated and is feeling better, according to Jeff Saturday.

Will Fries has taken Pryor’s starting job in the last two weeks, but the Colts’ offensive line really struggled against the Eagles, allowing Matt Ryan to be pressured on 50 percent of his dropbacks. Jonathan Taylor only averaged 3.8 yards per carry as well.

Jacksonville Jaguars Injuries

The Jaguars come off their bye week as one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin is still on IR, but could be activated in Week 13.

Kansas City Chiefs Injuries

Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday night and should miss at least four weeks while recovering.

Unfortunately for the LSU product, he has been phased out of the Chiefs’ offense in recent weeks, playing just nine total snaps in the last two games and getting two touches.

Rookie Isiah Pacheco had a career-high 107 rushing yards against the Chargers and Jerick McKinnon played 34 offensive snaps.

One week after scoring his first NFL touchdown, Kadarius Toney is dealing with a hamstring injury. He had just one target on Sunday and was held without an offensive touch in 14 snaps.

Las Vegas Raiders Injuries

Jermaine Eluemunor got his first start at left tackle since 2020 in relief of Kolton Miller who was out due to a shoulder injury. Thayer Munford filled in at right tackle.

Eluemunor allowed four pressures against the Broncos, but didn’t allow a quarterback hit or sack. Munford only allowed two pressures in his second-career start.

Los Angeles Chargers Injuries

Mike Williams’s return to the field only lasted one quarter before he aggravated it and left the game with one catch for 15 yards in the box score.

On Monday, Brandon Staley told reporters Williams’s injury is not considered significant and we will know more when the team unveils their first injury report of the week on Wednesday.

The good news is Keenan Allen looked healthy for the first time all season, catching five passes for 94 yards and Joshua Palmer added eight catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

Los Angeles Rams Injuries

One week after sitting out against the Cardinals due to a concussion, Matthew Stafford left early against the Saints due to a head injury. Sean McVay would not confirm nor deny that his quarterback is back in concussion protocol just yet.

Sitting at 3-7 with a pair of games against the Chiefs and Seahawks coming up, the Rams season seems to be hanging on by a thread. Considering how serious the talks around concussions have become since the Tua Tagovailoa incident earlier this season, the Rams will probably play it safe.

That means Bryce Perkins or John Wolford could start in Kansas City next week. Perkins was 5-10 for 64 yards and took three sacks in relief of Stafford against the Saints.

Miami Dolphins Injuries

Byron Jones has been out all year while recovering from a torn Achilles. However, even after the bye week, Jones isn’t expected to join the Dolphins on the practice field just yet. At this point in the calendar, it seems very realistic that Jones doesn’t suit up at all this season.

Minnesota Vikings Injuries

Cornerback Akayleb Evans was a limited participant in Monday’s practice as he recovers from a concussion. That’s good news because fellow rookie cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. did not participate.

Booth was targeted by the Cowboys eight times on Sunday, allowing seven catches for 85 yards. The second-round pick has struggled in his two games this season and if Evans is healthy, he should replace Booth in the starting lineup.

New England Patriots Injuries

The Patriots are expected to be without center David Andrews for quite a while after he suffered a thigh injury against the Jets on Sunday. Andrews had previously missed two games due to a concussion.

Right now, the team is hopeful Andrews can return before the end of the season, but it will be James Ferentz starting at center until then. Ferentz has allowed two sacks in 72 pass-blocking snaps at center this season.

New Orleans Saints Injuries

Defensive end Payton Turner is considered week-to-week due to an ankle sprain. He joins a long list of Saints defenders out including Pete Werner, Marshon Lattimore, Marcus Davenport, and Cameron Jordan.

Even with all those guys out, the Saints held the Rams to just 20 points and Carl Granderson finished with 1.5 sacks while playing a season-high 49 defensive snaps. Things don’t get easier for New Orleans with the 49ers on the docket for Week 12.

New York Giants Injuries

The injuries keep coming to the Giants’ receiving corps. This time, rookie Wan’Dale Robinson is expected to miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday.

Robinson missed four games earlier this season due to injury, but was enjoying his best game as a pro before getting hurt, catching nine passes for 100 yards in the loss to Detroit.

Darius Slayton is the team’s leading receiver and Richie James has 23 catches, although he was a non-participant in Monday’s practice. Isaiah Hodgins and Kenny Golladay both contributed 29 receiving yards on Sunday.

There are also Odell Beckham Jr. rumors flying around, but a decision there isn’t expected until after Thanksgiving.

Adoree’ Jackson won’t be playing on Thanksgiving either after suffering an MCL sprain on a punt return.

New York Jets Injuries

The Jets came out of their loss on Sunday relatively healthy according to Robert Saleh. The team is hopeful that Corey Davis can return and he is currently considered day-to-day.

Despite not playing since Week 7, Davis is still second on the team in receiving yards behind rookie Garrett Wilson.

The Jets did promise to get Elijah Moore involved in the offense this week and he did have two catches for 17 yards. That was his most productive outing since Week 4.

Philadelphia Eagles Injuries

The Eagles signed Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh to help against the run with Jordan Davis still on the IR.

After initially struggling to contain Jonathan Taylor, the Eagles held him to 2.83 yards per carry when either Suh or Joseph was on the field.

It was tougher for the Eagles to replace Dallas Goedert who is also on the IR. Jack Stoll had one catch for seven yards while fellow tight ends Grant Calcaterra and Tyree Jackson went untargeted.

Pittsburgh Steelers Injuries

Starting center Mason Cole was wearing a boot on his injured foot following the Steelers’ loss to the Bengals.

J.C. Hassenauer filled in and allowed one pressure in 30 pass blocking snaps. He last started at center for the final three games of 2021. He could start for Cole next week if he’s unable to go.

San Francisco 49ers Injuries

Charvarius Ward left Monday night’s game due to a groin injury, but did return after missing only a few snaps in the first quarter.

No other 49er was injured in the blowout win over the Cardinals.

Seattle Seahawks Injuries

The Seahawks come out of their bye week with only Damien Lewis dealing with an injury. The starting left guard missed three snaps in Week 10 and was replaced by Phil Haynes.

Haynes started at left guard in Week 1, allowing zero sacks and three pressures.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Injuries

Leonard Fournette is expected to return to the Buccaneers lineup against the Browns in Week 12. This is somewhat unexpected, considering Todd Bowles told reporters last week that Fournette would not play following their bye week.

Giovani Bernard also returned to the practice field with the Buccaneers on Monday. Bernard hasn’t played since returning a kick in Week 2 and has been on the IR with an ankle injury since then.

Tennessee Titans Injuries

Edge rusher Denico Autry is expected to miss some time after suffering a knee injury against the Packers on Thursday night. He leads the team in pressures and sacks this season.

One thing that could mitigate the loss of Autry is the return of Bud Dupree who was inactive on Thursday due to a hip injury. Dupree has 16 pressures in six games this season.

Washington Commanders Injuries

The Commanders activated Chase Young to the active roster on Monday, but there are still questions about his availability for Week 12. Young had to be activated before Wednesday this week or else he would have been unable to return this season.

However, he was reportedly close to returning on Sunday against the Texans. Washington’s defense sacked Davis Mills five times and ranks fifth in the NFL in total pressures.
