Happy Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season for those who celebrate!
As always, I want to thank everyone who takes the time to even check out any portion of this weekly undertaking.
Whether you only check out the free games, peruse the players on your own team, or consume the entire thing, I sincerely thank you for taking the time.
This is the home stretch of the fantasy regular season.
I wish I had better news for fantasy gamers, but Week 12 was once again another dud for the league.
Things seem to be getting worse as we move on.
Offenses averaged a season-low 19.5 points per game in Week 12.
The 5.2 yards per play were the fewest for the NFL since Week 3, which came a week after hitting a 5.2 mark (separated by decimals in favor of last week).
The 4.1 yards per rush were a season low.
Teams converted 35.9% of their third downs in Week 12, the lowest rate in a week this season.
Offenses converted 50% of their red zone trips into touchdowns, which was only ahead of Week 11 (49.1%).
Teams scored a touchdown on 60.9% of their goal-to-goal opportunities, the lowest rate in a week this year.
After setting a season-low with a touchdown on 21% of possessions last week, that dropped again to 18% this past week.
Teams scored on a season-low 34.5% of possessions.
As a result, teams scored a season-low 1.76 points per possession.
We will get a bounce back eventually, as things can only go so far south.
Hopefully, our first full 16-game week since Week 4 will provide enough opportunity for things to spike in a positive direction.
We have our usual three games on Turkey Day, as well as the added Black Friday game to account for.
Make sure you are on top of all inactive announcements for those kickoffs and adjust lineups accordingly.
If injuries or misfortune have worked against you this season, but you still are looking to participate in the NFL season through fantasy gaming and betting, there is still plenty of DFS and player prop action to get into and make the most of the remainder of the season.
This article will be updated throughout the week to reflect major news or injury implications.
I encourage you to use the game-by-game tables and data points here in conjunction with the player rankings that will be available every Wednesday.
Enjoy the games!
