Quarterback

Sam Darnold: Seattle received a hall pass last week, as they never needed to do much offensively.

That covered the fact that Darnold had season lows in completion rate (53.8%) and yards per pass attempt (4.9).

Darnold had 2 more fumbles, losing 1, his 5th lost fumble of the year.

Darnold has now been the QB24 or lower in four of his past six games.

The silver lining is that duds against the Texans, Rams, and Vikings came in matchups where expectations were tempered.

He has five QB1-scoring weeks while finishing as QB18 or lower in his other seven games.

If operating with reservations and treating Darnold as a boom-or-bust QB2, you can make the case for his upside and efficiency here.

The Falcons play single-high safeties on 64% of their defensive snaps, second in the league.

Darnold leads the league in fantasy points per dropback against single-high looks (0.63), throwing for 9.6 yards per pass attempt (third) with 12 touchdowns.

Atlanta is blitzing 36.7% of the time, second in the league.

Darnold has a 5.2% interception rate against the blitz (31st) and only a 5.2% touchdown rate (23rd) to keep us on our toes, but he also has a league-high 10.0 Y/A when blitzed.

Kirk Cousins: Cousins has been the QB15 (14.5 points) and QB20 (13.4 points) in his past two starts against the Saints and Jets.

Things get much tougher for Cousins as a back-end QB2 here.

Seattle is fourth in passing points allowed per attempt (0.343), allowing a league-low 6.1 yards per pass attempt and a 3.6% touchdown rate (sixth).
