Bengals vs. Browns: NFL Preview, Prediction & Best Bets
The Cincinnati Bengals hope to return to the playoffs after a two-year absence, but they start 2025 by facing a Cleveland team that has given them issues since 2020. The Baltimore Ravens are still favored to win the AFC North, but the Bengals are a playoff favorite this year. Meanwhile, the Browns selected 40-year-old Joe Flacco to start over rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
- Bengals' odds to make the NFL playoffs: -141
- Browns' odds to make the NFL playoffs: +800
The Bengals are hoping for improved play on defense, but that puts a lot of stress on new defensive coordinator Al Golden to make magic happen out of a group that did little to add big-name talent in the offseason. The Bengals' biggest defensive addition is first-round rookie Shemar Stewart, who had just 1.5 sacks in each of his three seasons at Texas A&M. He's physically gifted, but he has to start matching that production. At least the team finally agreed to contract terms with Trey Hendrickson, who has had 17.5 sacks in back-to-back years despite the Bengals missing the playoffs in both years.
Joe Flacco is the kind of quarterback who could pick apart a struggling defense thanks to his experience. But the Browns have less talent in 2025 than what was around him just two years ago, when Amari Cooper, who announced his NFL retirement abruptly on Thursday, was Flacco's leading receiver. But Kevin Stefanski has gotten good results out of Flacco and has had past success against Zac Taylor's Bengals.
But the Bengals must also stress getting off to a good start after performing poorly in September under Burrow and Taylor. The Bengals have started 0-3, 1-3, and 0-2 in the last three years. They must take advantage of this season's favorable schedule, including this game, to build confidence for a deep playoff run.

Michigan vs. Oklahoma: CFB Preview, Prediction & Best Bets
It's hard to believe these two proud college football programs are meeting for just the second time after doing so in the 1976 Orange Bowl. This is also the only game between ranked opponents in Week 2, with No. 15 Michigan and No. 18 Oklahoma both winning their openers. Neither team is a lock to make the College Football Playoff:
- Michigan's odds to make the college football playoffs: +200
- Oklahoma's odds to make the college football playoffs: +350
Oklahoma had no issues taking down Illinois State in a 35-3 win last week. Michigan beat New Mexico 34-17, but not before giving up a very neat trick touchdown pass to them.
New quarterback Bryce Underwood showed some promise in the game, but he lacks the experience of John Mateer, the starter at Washington State before joining the Sooners in 2025. However, Michigan has a strong running game that can help its young quarterback out better than Oklahoma can. Michigan is 4-1 ATS as a road underdog since 2021.
