Guess the “Final Four” moniker is reserved for college basketball's fabled tournament, but we have four great teams left in the 2025-26 College Football Playoff semifinal. The second year of the CFP format seems to be working out with new contenders stepping up and coming two wins away from a national championship.

The action resumes this Thursday night when the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes (12-2) continue their run from the ACC against the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels (13-1), the last team left from the SEC, in the Fiesta Bowl. While it looked like we were going to get Miami quarterback Carson Beck against his former team from Georgia, Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss said Not so fast. He passed for a season-high 362 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a wild 39-34 win over the Bulldogs to cap off New Year's. It was his eighth 300-yard passing game of the season, and now he'll be tasked with facing a tough Miami secondary that has already gotten the best of Marcel Reed (Texas A&M) and Julian Sayin (Ohio State), a couple of Heisman candidates this year.

The Hurricanes have allowed 9.7 points per game during this 6-game winning streak ever since their last loss to SMU, so the Rebels and interim coach Pete Golding have their work cut out for them. Beck has been steady and protected the ball for the Hurricanes in these playoffs, and he can rely on that defense to keep the score down against an Ole Miss team that averages 37.6 points per game, ranked 10th in the nation.

On Friday evening, there's a heavyweight rematch in the Peach Bowl between the No. 5 Oregon Ducks (13-1) and the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers (14-0) from the Big Ten. If not for a certain 30-20 outcome in October, it might be Oregon going for the perfect season right now as the No. 1 seed. Instead, Indiana is 14-0 behind coach Curt Cignetti, who continues to pull off one of the greatest turnaround stories in college football history. His quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, is also quite a story, and against Oregon, he made up for a pick-six with a late-game-winning drive to close that game out.

The Hoosiers destroyed Alabama 38-3 in the Rose Bowl last week, a shocking sight for a school that was 3-9 just two seasons ago. However, the Hoosiers boast the No. 3 scoring offense and the No. 2 scoring defense, and they have played stellar football in these playoffs thus far. In contrast, Oregon took some time to wake up before securing a 23-0 shutout over Texas Tech last week. This should be a great one and could even be a better game than the national championship game itself this season.
