Best Football Bets This Saturday at FanDuel
With 15 football games this Saturday, between Week 3 of the 2025 NFL preseason and Week 0 of the 2025 CFB season, there are plenty of betting opportunities to use your FanDuel bonus bets. Let's look at the games and some of our favorite bets.
College Football Week 0 Games
There are five games on Saturday to kick off the college football season. Here are the current odds at FanDuel (as of Aug 22, 2025), and our best bets:
Iowa State vs. Kansas State (-3.5, O/U 50.5)
Kansas State coach Chris Klieman has been a reliable winner in his six seasons, producing a 48-28 (.632) record with back-to-back 9-4 seasons. His team is currently ranked No. 17 in the AP poll and opens as a 3.5-point favorite against Iowa State, who are ranked No. 22 after coach Matt Campbell had his best year in 2024 with an 11-3 record.
These teams met last November and Iowa State won 29-21, but this rematch will take place on a neutral field in Dublin, Ireland. Both of these Big 12 teams have high hopes for the 2025 college football season.
Sam Houston State vs. Western Kentucky (-10.5, O/U 61.5)
Sam Houston State was 10-3 last year in CUSA, but it played one of its worst games of the season against Western Kentucky in a 31-14 home loss. Western Kentucky is looking to improve on its 8-6 record under coach Tyson Helton, and the team is a 10.5-point favorite here. Western Kentucky was only 92nd in the nation in scoring last season, while Sam Houston State was 99th.

NFL Preseason Week 3 Games
The NFL preseason ends on Saturday with a loaded 10-game slate. Here are some of our favorite bets that you can use your FanDuel promo on:
Los Angeles Rams vs. Cleveland Browns (-7.5, O/U 36.5)
The Browns are the week's biggest favorite at 7.5 points because the plan is for Joe Flacco to start the game with decent reps before handing quarterback duties off to Dillon Gabriel. Then, expect Shedeur Sanders to finish the game off in front of the Cleveland crowd for the first time. He sat out last week's game with an oblique injury, but he's been a major sensation this preseason.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Commanders (+2.5, O/U 35.5)
Speaking of preseason games that matter, the Commanders and Ravens reportedly care about this Battle of the Beltway matchup, even if it's only the preseason. The Ravens are usually a solid performer in August under coach John Harbaugh, and we just saw the Commanders get into a high-scoring game with the Bengals on Monday night. You aren't likely to see any of Lamar Jackson or Jayden Daniels in this one, but these teams know how to score and are well coached.
