NFL Betting Lines for Divisional Round: Spreads, Storylines & Facts to Know

Some say the NFL Divisional Round is the best weekend of the football season, featuring four great games, including both of the No. 1 seeds in action for the first time since the regular season. We'll see the greatness of the NFC West on display with the 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams making up 75% of the remaining playoff field. However, we'll also see if some 2024 draft class quarterbacks, such as Bo Nix and Drake Maye, can help their teams reach the AFC Championship Game, which would be a rematch of the 2015 game should they both advance after winning at home against Buffalo and Houston.

Things kick off on Saturday afternoon with the top-seeded Denver Broncos (14-3) taking on Josh Allen and the No. 6 Buffalo Bills (13-5). It's a rematch from last year when the Broncos went into Buffalo, scored an opening-drive touchdown, then never scored again in a 31-7 loss in the Wild Card Round. Now, the Broncos have home-field advantage, and the Bills are really tested at wide receiver depth after losing Josh Palmer, Gabe Davis, and Tyrell Shavers to season-ending injuries. They'll have to use Khalil Shakir, Brandin Cooks, and (gasp) Keon Coleman against that secondary led by Patrick Surtain II. But the Bills have the No. 1 rushing offense, and the pass defense could have a good day against Bo Nix, who is erratic and has relied on a lot of fourth-quarter magic this year.

On Saturday evening, the San Francisco 49ers (13-5) and Seattle Seahawks (14-3) meet for the third time this season. The Seahawks won 13-3 in San Francisco in Week 18 to get the first-round bye. How big is that? The Seahawks got to rest while the 49ers lost superstar tight end George Kittle to a torn Achilles in their Wild Card game at Philadelphia. But the 49ers were able to win with Brock Purdy's fourth game-winning drive in the postseason (only five players have more in NFL history). The 49ers might be able to get Ricky Pearsall back, and they have Trent Williams back at left tackle after he missed the Week 18 game, where the 49ers scored their fewest points since Kyle Shanahan's first game in 2017. But the Seahawks have had their two worst scoring games (13 points each) of 2025 against the 49ers, and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh always could scheme up a gem to take down Sam Darnold in the biggest game of his career.

On Sunday afternoon, the Houston Texans (13-5) will face the New England Patriots (15-3) after neither team allowed a touchdown in their last game. However, the injury report is a big story, as we'll see if Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez and Texans wide receiver Nico Collins can clear the concussion protocol in time to play. However, the Houston defense is formidable and has only allowed more than 17 points on the road once this season. The Patriots only scored 16 points at home against the Chargers, but they did better in the second half. DeMeco Ryans has coached some gems in the postseason, but the franchise has never won a divisional round game, so you can say the Texans are going for their biggest win in franchise history. C.J. Stroud is going to have to protect the ball much better after becoming the first player since Eli Manning in 2007 to fumble five times in a victory. Perhaps that's a good omen, as Manning went on to beat the Patriots and win the Super Bowl that year.

On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Rams (13-5) take on the Chicago Bears (12-6). Both teams had dramatic game-winning drives last week, with the Bears needing a 15-point comeback in the fourth quarter (just the fourth playoff team to ever do that). In normal conditions, this one could be the shootout of the playoffs. However, the weather is expected to be significant, with temperatures of 10 degrees, strong winds, a negative wind chill, and possibly snow. Both teams will have to run the ball effectively, as this will be the coldest game of Matthew Stafford's career, and he injured his finger last week. The Rams are the road favorite, but watch out if this game comes down to the last drive. The Rams have already surrendered five game-winning drives this seaso,n while the 2025 Bears have won a record seven games after trailing in the final 2:00, including last week against Green Bay.
