NFL Betting Lines Week 15: Spreads, Storylines & Things to Know
The NFL's Week 15 schedule is well-built, featuring plenty of interesting games that will impact the playoff races in both conferences. We could finally see some playoff spots and division titles clinched this Sunday.
It starts Thursday night with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trying to get back on track after going 1-4 since the bye week, which has dropped them to 7-6. The Falcons haven't had a good year, but they can spoil Tampa's night with another upset after the Saints knocked off Tampa in this building on Sunday.
However, Sunday afternoon features all the best games in Week 15, rather than the island games. It gets underway with a huge 1:00 PM window on Sunday afternoon, featuring the marquee game in New England, something we haven't seen in several years. However, the Patriots, winners of 10 straight, can clinch the AFC East with a sweep of Buffalo, the team that has owned the division since Tom Brady left in 2020. The Bills were in a similar position in 2021 and came back to beat the Patriots and crush them in the playoffs. Still, it feels a little different this year with Drake Maye doing well and the Patriots already winning in Buffalo, an inconsistent team this year. But that's a huge game for Buffalo's last stand as AFC East champs.
Elsewhere in the early Sunday window, we'll get a Thanksgiving rematch between the Bengals and Ravens in Cincinnati after they already won in Baltimore with five takeaways. The Ravens are 6-7 and really slipping, too. The Bengals rarely ever beat Lamar Jackson, but Joe Burrow has handed him his two largest margins of defeat in his NFL career, including the 32-14 game on Thanksgiving.
We'll also see if the Eagles (8-5) and Chiefs (6-7) can halt their recent slides after reaching the Super Bowl last year. Both are struggling in a variety of ways, with Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes combining for eight turnovers in Week 14. You'll know the Eagles, losers of three straight, are really going to collapse if they can't beat the lowly Raiders at home as a huge favorite. But we'll also see the Chiefs at Arrowhead taking on the Chargers, who saw Justin Herbert take a career-high 7.0 sacks on Monday night, one week after hand surgery. The Chargers will try to sweep the Chiefs, who are already guaranteed not to win the AFC West for the first time since 2015, and they could be eliminated from the playoffs entirely this week.
In the late-afternoon window, we could see a very bizarre game should the Colts actually start 44-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers, who came out of retirement after five years on Tuesday to sign with the practice squad following injuries to Daniel Jones and Riley Leonard. The Colts are truly desperate, but are they desperate enough to start a 44-year-old grandfather against one of the best defenses in football in Seattle? That could be some spectacle.
Otherwise, we're looking forward to Lions vs. Rams, and Matthew Stafford's former team has beaten him a few times in the last few years. However, the Lions need to prove they can win these types of games on the road as well. We'll also see the Packers as a road favorite against Denver in a non-conference matchup, so that's very interesting that the two AFC teams on 10-game winning streaks (Patriots and Broncos) are both home underdogs this week. But Green Bay is playing very well, too, behind Jordan Love and Micah Parsons.
On Sunday Night Football, you can't flex Jerry Jones and the Cowboys out of the national spotlight, no matter how much we'd like to try. The Cowboys will play the Vikings, who are coming off a 31-0 shutout of the Commanders. We'll see if J.J. McCarthy can have success against that Dallas defense, and the Cowboys (6-6-1) still have a slight shot in the NFC East.
Finally, on Monday Night Football, we'll see if the Steelers can keep up their winning ways at home on their only Monday night game this year, or if the Dolphins can brave the cold and prove this 4-game winning streak is legitimate and worthy of keeping coach Mike McDaniels around for 2026. Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa is 0-5 when it's 40 degrees or colder at kickoff.
That said, let's go through the NFL Week 15 lines with the latest odds and a betting tip for each game.
