Titans vs. Falcons NFL Preseason Betting Preview

NFL 2025 PRESEASON Week 2 • 7:00 PM ET • AUGUST 15, 2025

• 🛡️ Defensive Advantage: The Falcons have a veteran defensive coach in Raheem Morris who will be looking for more out of his young pass rush at home this week.
• ⚡ X-factor: No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Ward debuted last week and should get more throws in Atlanta.
• ⚠️ Note: Atlanta coach Raheem Morris was in LA with Sean McVay, who famously benches his starters in August. Morris could follow suit for another week after playing heavy reserves in Week 1.

While the Titans lost 29-7 against Tampa Bay last week, they got some valuable reps in for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who was 5-of-8 for 67 yards and showed the willingness to get the ball down the field. The Titans even had running back Tony Pollard score a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, so they weren't afraid to play their starters in the preseason. That could aid in why they are a 5-point road favorite this week in Atlanta, as they'll hopefully let Ward get some more live reps with his receivers before the preseason ends.

For Atlanta, the Falcons played the only Week 1 game in which neither team scored 20 points, a 17-10 loss against Detroit. Coach Raheem Morris really stuck with his backups, choosing to play third-stringer Easton Stick at quarterback most of the way while Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins had the night off. There's a good chance we won't see either again, nor will players like Drake London and Bijan Robinson likely play. But first-round edge rusher Jalon Walker did make his debut in last week's low-scoring affair.

  • Titans O/U regular season win total for 2025: 5.5
  • Falcons O/U regular season win total for 2025: 7.5

Both teams are looking for fresh starts with new quarterbacks this season. Atlanta has more high-end talent on both sides of the ball, while the Titans are merely solid at most positions but may lack the depth needed to do well in a preseason game. But Morris' insistence on resting key players could open the door for a competitive game for NFL preseason betting.

🎯 SFA Betting Prediction: With both teams likely hiding what their offenses will look like this season, we expect another slugfest for the Falcons at home. Bet the under at 38.5.

Chiefs vs. Seahawks NFL Preseason Betting Preview

O/U 39

• 🛡️ Defensive Advantage: Seattle coach Mike Macdonald did a good job of turning the Seahawks around in his rookie year for their best defensive ranking since 2016.
• ⚡ X-factor: With Gardner Minshew taking some first-team snaps over Patrick Mahomes this week, Andy Reid may be expecting a lot of Minshew Mania in this game from the veteran.
• ⚠️ Note: Andy Reid is known for playing his starters a significant number of snaps in the “dress rehearsal” preseason game, which this presumably is for the Chiefs.

While the Chiefs insisted Patrick Mahomes and the starters would get a quarter of action last week against Arizona, Mahomes threw a single pass before exiting the game. It helped that it was a 1-yard touchdown pass, as he showed he can hit a fade if you give him a wide receiver with some height to throw it to. But the Chiefs should lean on their starters a bit more in Seattle for a good road test that's also good for NFL preseason betting opportunities. The Chiefs lost 20-17 in Arizona last week, but expect more passes from Mahomes and veteran Gardner Minshew, which means fewer from Bailey Zappe (two picks last week).

Meanwhile, the Seahawks finished in a 23-23 tie with Pete Carroll's Raiders last week. It was a letdown for Mike Macdonald's defense, allowing 10 points in the final half of the fourth quarter before neither team could close for a game-winning field goal. However, the Seahawks did not play new quarterback Sam Darnold, who is trying to break in with a new team that also acquired Cooper Kupp after losing Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf this offseason. The Seahawks could use some live snaps against the best team in the AFC, and it sounds like they'll get some as Darnold and the starters are expected to see the field for a few drives in this one Friday night.

  • Chiefs O/U regular season win total for 2025: 11.5
  • Seahawks O/U regular season win total for 2025: 7.5

The Chiefs always enter seasons with the highest of expectations, and this has been viewed as a “revenge tour” after the sting of losing 40-22 in the Super Bowl to the Eagles. They can become the second team ever to make four consecutive Super Bowls. We'll see if Mahomes and company can get it going against a Seattle team that figures to be competitive again following a 10-7 record that did not result in a playoff berth in the new 7-team system. But if Darnold can recreate his 2024 Minnesota magic with another team, they have a shot to make the tournament this time around.

🎯 SFA Betting Prediction: With both teams looking to play their starters, we like enough touchdowns to bet the over of 39 points (-110 at Bet365).
