Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: Week 6 was another incomplete game from the Philadelphia offense.

Hurts opened Thursday night the right way.

In the first half against the Giants, Hurts completed 14 of 18 passes (77.8%) for 164 yards (9.1 Y/A) with a touchdown.

Things then unraveled in the second half.

Hurts was 10 of 15 (66.7%) for 119 yards (7.9 Y/A) with no touchdowns and an interception.

Hurts missed DeVonta Smith on a potential 89-yard touchdown, and then his first interception of the season came on a back-breaking play down 10 in the fourth quarter on the 15-yard line.

Six weeks into the season, and the Eagles have not given us a full game of production to lean on or what identity this offense wants to have.

They have started to shift to a pass-heavy offense as the run game has struggled.

The Eagles threw the ball 5% over expectations in Week 6 (12% over expectations on first downs) after throwing the ball 19% over expectations in Week 5 (24% over expectations on first downs).

Through four games, the Eagles had thrown the ball 5% below expectations and 10% below expectations on first downs.

For as uneven as things have been, Hurts has remained a consistent fantasy scorer.

He has been a QB1 scorer in five of six games this season, and he is the QB5 in fantasy points per game (20.5).

If this offense ever finds its footing with these types of pass rates, Hurts has an extra gear to push for fantasy.

The fact that he has consistently been a front-end scorer throughout this is a testament to the floor and upside he has, which is why he remains a fantasy QB1.

This is a tougher spot for the Eagles to find answers, but the first half of the Broncos game did showcase that this passing game can still beat the best in the league.

Hurts was QB12 (19.5 points) against Denver, which feels like a reasonable expectation for this matchup, while Hurts has added upside via his legs since he did not run in that Denver game (3 yards).

The Vikings are fourth in passing points allowed per game (10.2), but they have drawn Caleb Williams, Michael Penix, Jake Browning, Aaron Rodgers, and Dillon Gabriel to open the year.

Minnesota is blitzing 36.7% of the time (second in the league) and is second in pressure rate (43.7%).

The Vikings also use zone blitzes on 79.5% of their blitzes, the second-highest rate in the league.

Against zone blitzes this season, Hurts is averaging 6.9 yards per pass attempt (23rd) compared to 8.7 Y/A against man blitzes (7th).

Hurts has not faced Brian Flores since 2023, going 18 of 23 for 193 yards with 1 touchdown and an interception in that game while scoring twice on the ground.

Hurts is averaging 8.3 rushing points per game, decimal points behind Justin Fields on the season for the position lead.

Vikings QB: We are not 100% certain who will start for Minnesota on Sunday.

Carson Wentz is still dealing with a shoulder injury, while J.J. McCarthy is returning from an ankle injury that has sidelined him since Week 2.

This is more selfish for the skill players here, because we likely handle either quarterback as a QB2, but would prefer Wentz for the pass catchers.

The small sample size of McCarthy was underwhelming.

Wentz has a 45.4% success rate compared to a 38.6% rate for McCarthy.

McCarthy had a 12.2% inaccurate throw rate, while Wentz is at 8%.

Wentz has completed 69% of his passes compared to a 58.5% rate for McCarthy.

Given what we now know about the Atlanta defense compared to what we saw in Week 2, McCarthy's performance in his last outing has a different tone.

He also has only two career starts.

The Eagles are allowing 6.5 yards per pass attempt (8th) and a 3.5% touchdown rate (7th), but also have several moving parts defensively.

We do not know if Jalen Carter will play, who missed last week with a heel injury.

Quinyon Mitchell is trending more on the doubtful side of questionable with a hamstring injury.

Za’Darius Smith just retired during the week.
