  • The Saints have been outscored by 111 points (116 to 227) in the first half, 31st in the league.
  • The Saints are allowing 70.3 fantasy points per game over the past five weeks, 2nd in the league.
  • New Orleans has a league-low 23 plays this season of 20 or more yards on offense. The next closest team has 35.

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Tyler Shough: Shough turned in another solid fantasy game on Sunday, closing the week as the QB16 (18.1 points).

Shough has at least 17 fantasy points in four of his past five games.

Since Week 10, Shough has completed a league-high 70% of his passes for 7.4 yards per pass attempt (13th).

Shough has at least six rushing attempts in four straight games with 22, 18, 55, and 32 rushing yards over that span.

I am not excited to thrust Shough into 1QB lineups for the fantasy playoffs, but he is a viable QB2 and pay-down option in DFS.

Shough gets another favorable spot as a home favorite against a Jets defense that just fired their defensive coordinator this week.

The Jets are 29th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.531), allowing 7.2 yards per pass attempt (21st) and a 6.1% touchdown rate (28th).

They are 30th in pressure rate (30.2%).

Jets QB: We do not know yet who will get the start this week for the Jets.

If it is Brady Cook for another week, that makes it easier, as he would be a back-end QB2.

Cook has been the QB27 (2.5 points) and QB28 (8.9 points) the past two weeks, completing 36 of 63 passes (57.1%) for 339 yards (5.4 Y/A) with 1 touchdown and 5 interceptions.

If we get Tyrod Taylor or Justin Fields, either would be an upside QB2, since both bring rushing production.

The Saints have allowed a 65.4% completion rate (18th), 7.1 Y/A (17th), and a 5.7% touchdown rate (25th), but have not been lit up, as they face 27.4 pass attempts per game (tied for the fewest).

The Saints have held their own against streaming types in recent weeks, facing Bryce Young (1.6 points), Kirk Cousins (14.5 points), Tua Tagovailoa (4.7 points), Baker Mayfield (11.1 points), and Young again (15.4 points) over their past five games.
