Puka Nacua

Nacua is coming off another incredible season, leading the league in receptions (129) for 1,715 yards (2nd) and 10 touchdowns (tied for 6th).

Nacua led the league in yards per route (3.71) and target rate per route (35.9%).

Even with Davante Adams on the field this season, Nacua was targeted on 35.8% of his routes with 3.51 yards per route.

When these teams played in Week 13, Carolina did their part in making Nacua at least mortal.

Nacua caught 6 of 9 targets for 72 yards in that contest.

He did have 33.3% of the targets and 2.77 yards per route.

That also came in a game without Jaycee Horn.

Even with Horn, though, Carolina ranked 25th in points allowed per game to WR1 targets (15.4), allowing 8.9 yards per target (28th) to those receivers but holding them to a 5.1% touchdown rate (14th).

Nacua plays in the slot on 32.2% of his snaps.

Carolina has allowed 8.3 yards per target to receivers from the slot (20th) compared to 7.9 yards per target to outside receivers (8th).

Carolina does a good job of disguising their looks but has still ended up in Cover 3 for 46.6% of their snaps (60.8% in Week 13).

Against Cover 3 this season, Nacua has 34.6% of the team’s targets with a target on 44.9% of his routes (4.59 yards per route).
