This week's waiver wire article was written by Dave Caban
We’ve reached the point in the season where some teams are mathematically eliminated, but hopefully, you’re not among them. Stay active even if your team is on life support; your next waiver claim or two could combine with a few of your stars to help you make an improbable run. If your team is in great shape, you still need to make claims to make sure you have strong roster depth and also to prevent your competitors from catching you.
As Curtis mentioned last week, we won’t be including FAAB percentage recommendations moving forward as it’s really hard to know the budgets that your league mates have in reserves at this point in the season. Instead, we’ll be simply listing players in order of preference or adding commentary regarding when to make a situational claim. Having said that, my advice would be if you know that you really need a particular player then you should be very aggressive.
*For the purposes of this week’s article, I’ll be using ESPN “percentage rostered” data. Players are listed in the order of priority, by position. To make the most of my time and yours, I only provide analysis for players who are available in around 50% of leagues.
