Quarterback

Matt Ryan (TRUST): Using their mini bye after playing last Thursday paired with the injuries to their backfield, the Colts came into Sunday with a hyper-aggressive approach offensively. The Colts threw the ball 11% over expectation after they were 4% below passing expectation prior.

As a byproduct, Ryan threw a season-high 58 passes, the second-highest total of his career. Ryan connected on 42 of those attempts for 389 yards with three touchdowns. He still averaged just 6.7 yards per attempt, but this was a more productive approach offensively. We will see how sticky it is if the team gets Jonathan Taylor back this week, but this is a matchup for the Colts to remain aggressive through rational coaching.

Tennessee is allowing a 67.2% completion rate (24th), 8.5 yards per pass attempt (32nd), 12.6 yards per completion (30th), and a league-high 6.7% touchdown rate to opposing passers.

The Titans have allowed four consecutive QB1 scoring weeks, which includes Ryan himself back in Week 4 when Ryan was the QB12 (17.8 points).

I doubt we will get the full passing volume of last week, but Ryan is at the front of the streaming list for those gamers missing Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts this week.
