Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
Justin Fields: Don’t look now, but Fields has been a QB1 scorer in back-to-back weeks. Fields has closed as the QB12 (17.0 points) and the QB7 (18.4 points) as his rushing production is finally making an impact with the Bears throwing just a smidge more.
The Bears are averaging 35.3 dropbacks per game over the past three weeks with 29 or more in each of those games. This after averaging 21.7 dropbacks per game with 25 or fewer in each of their opening three games. Over this recent span, Fields has 23 scrambles on those dropbacks for 183 rushing yards. The next closest quarterback is Josh Allen with 12 scrambles for 112 yards over that span.
Fields does still come with the element of relying largely so on rushing if streaming him or counting on him as a higher-end QB2. He still completed just 51.9% of his passes last Thursday night against a Washington pass defense and has thrown one or fewer touchdown passes in every game since Week 1.
The Patriots are allowing a 58.6% completion rate (sixth) and 6.7 yards per pass attempt (ninth). The only QB1 scoring week they have allowed so far this year has been to Lamar Jackson, who did have 107 rushing yards in that game if latching onto the rushing ability of Fields.
