Biggest NFL Week 9 Injuries:
Jayden Daniels Injury Update
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow on his non-throwing shoulder late in Sunday night's loss to the Seahawks.
This is the third injury sustained by the reigning Rookie of the Year. He's previously dealt with a sprained knee and a strained hamstring.
X-rays reportedly came back clean, offering some hope that it was a less serious injury than it appeared to be on the field, but it looks like Marcus Mariota will be starting for a while.
Puka Nacua Injury Update
Rams WR Puka Nacua suffered a chest injury midway through the team's win over the Saints on Sunday and never returned.
Following the game, Sean McVay told reporters that Nacua's injury wasn't that serious and he was held out mainly for precautionary reasons in a blowout win.
C.J. Stroud Injury Update
Texans QB CJ Stroud left in the first half on Sunday after taking a blow to his head on a slide.
After walking to the locker room under his own power, Stroud was ruled out with a concussion and will begin this week in protocol.
As of now, it seems like backup Davis Mills will be starting against the Jaguars next week.
Mills threw 30 passes, completing 17 for 137 yards in the loss to the Broncos.
Tucker Kraft Injury Update
Packers TE Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury early in the second half against the Panthers and never returned.
Unfortunately, Matt LaFleur told reporters following the game that Kraft's knee injury “does not look good” and the tight end could be on the shelf with a potentially torn ACL.
If Kraft does miss the rest of the season, Luke Musgrave would be elevated to the top of the depth chart.
The third-year player has 6 catches this season.
Green Bay also lost rookie WR Matthew Golden to an injury against the Panthers.
Brian Thomas Jr. Injury Update
Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. suffered an ankle injury late in the game against the Raiders.
He initially tried to play through the issue, but he was forced back to the sidelines.
Jacksonville lost Travis Hunter to a knee injury earlier in the week, and Dyami Brown also left the game due to a concussion.
The Jaguars are suddenly very thin at wide receiver.
Aaron Jones Injury Update
Vikings RB Aaron Jones had 78 yards on just nine carries before exiting Sunday's win over the Lions with a shoulder injury.
However, according to Tom Pelissero, the injury is considered a minor sprain and should not keep Jones sidelined for very long.
Jordan Mason was the Vikings' lead running back with Jones out on Sunday, carrying the ball 10 times for 36 yards.
Travis Hunter Injury Update
The Jaguars put rookie Travis Hunter on the injured reserve this week after he suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice on Thursday.
After initial reports seemed ominous, the Jaguars announced that Hunter's ACL is intact, and while there isn't any plan for his return right now, he could be back at some point this season.
Hunter has gotten more time on offense this season, playing over 300 snaps as a wide receiver compared to just 162 on the defensive side of the ball.
Week 7 was Hunter's best game as a pro as he set career highs with 8 catches and 101 receiving yards while also recording his first touchdown.
