NFL Week 4 Injury Report For All 32 teams

As we enter the second month of the NFL season, monitoring the injury report becomes even more critical. And after watching Tua Tagovailoa get carted off the field on Thursday night, it’s worth remembering just how big of a role injuries play in football.

This page will be updated throughout the weekend with more details and analysis when final injury reports are released.

Also, be sure to bookmark our NFL Injured Reserve Tracker which will be updated weekly throughout the season.

Dalvin Cook will suit up for Week 4 despite dealing with a shoulder injury he suffered last week.

Cook dislocated his shoulder last year, but returned after missing one game and rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns with a harness to help keep his shoulder in place.

He played a season-low 44 snaps in Week 3 and didn’t receive a target in the passing game. Expect the Vikings to get Alexander Mattison more involved to help the ailing Cook.

– One week after struggling in a loss to the Panthers, Jameis Winston is expected to be inactive thanks to his back and ankle injuries.

With Winston sidelined, the Saints will turn to Andy Dalton in hopes of helping their abysmal offense. Through three games with Winston, New Orleans’ nine turnovers rank last in the NFL.

Dalton has started 15 games since being banished from Cincinnati, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt and tossing 22 touchdowns to 17 interceptions.

He started against Minnesota with the Bears at the end of last season, throwing for 325 yards and two picks in a 31-17 loss.

Michael Thomas won’t be on the field for Dalton on Sunday due to a toe injury he suffered last week. Tre’Quan Smith will be active and Jarvis Landry is questionable.

Smith and rookie Chris Olave combined for 13 catches and 253 last week against Carolina.

– Both of Cleveland’s edge rushers are questionable this week. Jadeveon Clowney has been out since Week 2 with his ankle injury and Myles Garrett suffered multiple injuries in a scary car accident on Tuesday.

Kevin Stefanski was non-committal when asked about the availability about both guys and there’s a real possibility neither one is active on Sunday.

If that’s the case, the Browns will turn to Alex Wright and Isaac Rochell. Wright, a rookie third-round pick, has just 95 snaps of NFL experience, but did start for Clowney last week.

Rochell is a six-year vet with 9.5 career sacks, but none since he left the Chargers in 2020.

Cordarrelle Patterson is third in the NFL in rushing yards after three weeks, but is questionable for Sunday thanks to a knee injury. The reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week did join the team on Friday and “looked good” according to Arthur Smith.

If Patterson is inactive, rookie Tyler Allgeier will get his first NFL start since top backup Damien Williams is on the IR.

The BYU product has averaged 3.4 yards per carry in his first 16 NFL touches.

The Commanders allowed nine sacks to the Eagles last week and Schweitzer was responsible for five pressures up the middle, according to Pro Football Focus.

Martin last started all 16 games for the Texans in 2020. He allowed eight sacks in four seasons in Houston.

With Homer out of the rotation, rookie Kenneth Walker III could see more snaps after playing just nine in Week 3.

Walker did miss most of training camp due to a hernia, but has just seven carries and five catches in two NFL games playing behind Rashaad Penny.

The Lions next two wide receivers, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds are both questionable, as well. Kalif Raymond is the only other receiver to get a target this season, he has one catch for four yards.

As for running back, Swift might be down for the next two games so he’s fully healthy when Detroit returns from its bye week.

That means extra time for Jamaal Williams, who has 43 carries for 168 yards and Craig Reynolds, who had six carries for 13 yards last week.

That leaves Richie James, David Sills V and Kenny Golladay as the top options for Daniel Jones.

Of those three, only James has over five catches or 100 yards. Golladay has been a huge disappointment, catching just two passes for 22 yards this season.

The Eagles do have CJ Gardner-Johnson who could slide down from safety, but it’s probably more likely Josiah Scott gets an extended look. The former Jaguar has 120 snaps of experience as a nickel back in his NFL career.

He had a season-high 27 touches in Week 3 despite playing a season-low number of snaps. Matt Rhule did promise to get D’Onte Foreman more involved in the offense, so that could help alleviate some of the stress on McCaffrey.
