Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: Hurts came out of the bye hot, connecting on 19-of-28 passes for 285 yards (10.2 Y/A) and a career-high four touchdown passes. His legs were not needed as he rushed just twice for 10 yards.

Hurts also was not needed again in the second half once again with the Eagles on cruise control. He attempted just six passes in the second half. Hurts continues to leads all players in first half fantasy scoring (139.4 points) while ranking 118th in the second half (34.8 points) as the Eagles are dead last in passing rate in the second half (37.6%) since they have not trailed for a single play yet on offense after halftime.

There’s strong probability that will be the case here again on Thursday. Houston has led for just 18.6% of their second half plays, 30th in the league. As a byproduct, they are facing just 31.6 attempts per game, the seventh lowest in the league.

Hurts will have to remain efficient against a Houston defense that has been solid overall through the air, allowing 0.32 passing points per attempt (fifth) and a 2.3% touchdown rate (second), but they are more middle of the pack and lower in yards allowed per pass attempt (19th) and yards allowed per completed pass (27th).

We are still starting Hurts as a QB1 for fantasy since he still has been a QB1 in six of his seven starts and a top-five option in five weeks despite not being pressed to much in the second half of games to date.
