  • The Broncos have won 13 consecutive home games in September and have won 12 consecutive home games in the first two weeks of the season.
  • Denver's record at home in the first two weeks of the season since 2000 is 22-1 (12-7-4 ATS).
  • Mitchell Trubisky has finished as the QB17 or lower in 10 of 12 career starts on the road and he has thrown one or fewer touchdown passes in just one of those games.
  • Trubisky's .158 passing points per pass attempt were the lowest of all quarterbacks in Week 1.
  • Over his past nine games played after returning from a mid-season injury in 2018, Allen Robinson has 27.6% of the Chicago targets. He had 20.4%  in his first six games with the Bears.

On the Cusp (proxy of a player’s average)

  • Allen Robinson: He’s become a target hog in this offense since getting fully healthy. Even with a lot of yardage left on the field last week due to quarterback play, Robinson still had a 7-102-0 line on 13 targets. The Broncos’ defense was a bit of a let down in Week 1, allowing Tyrell Williams to post a 6-105-1 line.
  • Tarik Cohen: Cohen played a career-high 46 snaps in Week 1, lining up as a wide receiver on 44 of those snaps. He didn’t do much with his (eight catches for 49 yards), but that would give him a stable FLEX floor if he can maintain heavy use in the passing game. With Anthony Miller working his way back from a preseason ankle injury, those days could be numbered.
  • Emmanuel Sanders/Courtland Sutton: These guys finished as the WR21 and WR22 on the week. Sutton received a team-high eight targets, catching seven for 120 yards. No restrictions for Sanders in Week 1 as he played 89% of the team snaps. He tallied a 5-86-1 line on seven targets. He and Sutton must contend with Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara all game instead of the Raiders secondary. Both fall into WR3/FLEX territory this week.

Bust (down-week production for that player’s standards)

  • Mitchell Trubisky:  He was an outright disaster in Week 1 and the game plan did him no favors on top of his own performance. Now he heads to the toughest road environment to play early in the season against a head coach who coached for his team the year prior in a game that has the lowest game total of the week.
  • Joe Flacco: A QB20 scoring week to start the season with Raiders, Flacco runs into the worst defensive matchup in Week 2.
  • Broncos RBs: This was a true split in Week 1 with Phillip Lindsay playing 34 snaps (15 touches) and Royce Freeman playing on 30 snaps (11 touches). The Bears were number one in the league against opposing backfields in 2018 and came out in Week 1 to hold the Packers’ backfield to 54 total yards on 21 touches. Both are low-level FLEX options.
  • David Montgomery/Mike Davis: Davis out-snapped Montgomery 41-to-28 in Week 1 and ran 26 pass routes to 16 for the rookie. But Davis turned 11 touches into just 36 yards and averaged only 2.4 yards per target in the passing game compared to Montgomery posting 45 yards on seven touches. The snaps should tighten up between these two players, but Montgomery remains just a pedestrian FLEX option until he begins to garner more of a tangible workload.
  • Other Bears WRs: The Bears wideouts outside of Robinson caught just 3-of-11 targets for 27 yards in Week 1. Trubisky isn’t going to support a ton of options in a poor matchup, so leave the rest of this passing game alone.
  • Noah Fant: He played 81.2% of the snaps and received a respectable five targets in the passing game (catching two for 29 yards). The Bears did allow Packers tight ends to catch six passes 72 yards in Week 1, but Fant is still just a low-level TE2 option.
