Quarterback

Lamar Jackson: After opening the year on fire, Jackson has not been a QB1 scoring in any of the past three weeks. After throwing 10 touchdowns to two interceptions over the opening three weeks, Jackson has thrown three touchdown passes with four interceptions the past three games.

We opened the year with Jackson absolutely melting the blitz. Over the first three games, Jackson completed 25-of-30 passes (83.3%) for 12.0 Y/A with six touchdowns and zero interceptions against extra pass rushers. Over the past three weeks, Jackson has gone 22-of-44 (50%) with 4.8 Y/A with two touchdowns and two interceptions against the blitz. Jackson has now been blitzed on 39.4% of his dropbacks, the third-highest rate in the league.

Jackson also has faced three straight teams that currently reside in the top 12 in passing points allowed to all passers for the season overall. Cleveland is 18th in that department (14.2 per game) while allowing 0.45 passing points per attempt (23rd), providing some matchup relief compared to the past three weeks.

Jackson is averaging 75.2 rushing yards per game (his highest mark since 2019) to allow multiple outs while aiding his ceiling if we see the pass efficiency spike based on the matchup. That combination has Jackson as a QB1 option as a high-total home favorite.
