Quarterback

Daniel Jones (TRUST): Turning to Jones when we have believed in his matchup has left us holding the bag before, but the difference here is that Jones is coming off actually playing well and not just forcing in the matchup over his own play.

Jones is coming off completing 22-of 32 passes for 249 yards (7.8 Y/A) with a touchdown while the New York wideouts also combined for three drops, including a potential touchdown to Darius Slayton.

The Giants have also been far more open to using Jones in the running game to start this season than in the past. Jones already has 85 rushing yards off designed runs, trailing only Lamar Jackson (110). After having just four career rushing attempts inside of the 10-yard line, Jones already has two in as many games, with both going for touchdowns. Jalen Hurts added 62 yards to his totals against the Falcons in Week 1.

The Falcons have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in seven straight games dating back to last season and have allowed the most passing points in the NFL through two games to Jalen Hurts and Tom Brady.

The one way this all goes south on Jones as the top streaming option of Week 3 of course ties into the Giants being able to protect him. Jones is averaging a respectable 6.9 yards per pass attempt under pressure (14th), but has hardly been blitzed to open the season. Jones has been blitzed on just 18.5% of his dropbacks, hitting on 6-of-12 passes for 5.9 Y/A when blitzed. Dean Pees and the Falcons did not come after Tom Brady in Week 2, blitzing just 15% of the time, but did attempt to dial-up heat on Jalen Hurts in Week 1 38.5% of the time.
