  • The Saints are averaging 21.3 yards per possession, ahead of only the Bears (19.8 yards).
  • 52.4% of Jameis Winston’s pass attempts have come on non-first down plays needing seven or more yards, the highest rate in the league.
  • 51.4% of the yardage gained by the Saints has come via rushing, second in the league behind the Bears (52.7%).
  • Daniel Jones has completed 30.8% (4-of-13) of his passes in the red zone, the lowest rate for all starting quarterbacks.

Quarterback

Jameis Winston: After a QB3 week in Week 1, Winston has been the QB27 and QB23 the past two games. The one consistent thing with the Saints’ offense is that they have tried to hide their passing game. Winston has just 20, 22, and 21 pass attempts. 54.4% of Winston’s fantasy points have come from passing touchdowns as he leads the NFL with an 11.1% touchdown rate. Winston has thrown 4.6 more touchdown passes than expectation, the most in the league.

The Giants are allowing a 75.4% completion rate (31st), but are allowing 7.1 yards per target (14th) and 9.5 yards per completion (third). If the Saints want to play ball control and keep Winston reined in, this is the projected script to do so, keeping Winston as a back-end QB2.
