  • The Steelers are 0-4 against the spread as favorites this season, the only team with winless against the spread with multiple games as a favorite.
  • Opponents have scored on a league-high 51.8% of their drives against Detroit.
  • Opponents have converted 83.3% (20-of-24) of their red zone possessions for touchdowns against the Lions, the highest rate in the league.
  • Detroit has trailed for 100% of their second half offensive snaps.
  • The Lions have scored 45.5% of their points in the fourth quarter this season, the highest rate in the league.
  • The Lions are averaging 2.8 fewer yards per pass attempt than their opponent, the worst differential in the league.

Quarterback

Mason Rudolph: With Ben Roethlisberger being placed on the COVID list, Rudolph will make his 10th career start on Sunday. In those 10 previous starts, Rudolph has finished higher than QB15 in weekly scoring just once with a high-scoring week as the QB12.

The Lions are dead last in passing points allowed per attempt (0.62), yards allowed per attempt (9.3 Y/A), and yards allowed per completion (13.7 yards). The one drawback here is that the Lions have faced the league’s fewest amount of pass attempts (27.8 per game) because they have consistently chased points in the second halves of games.  Rudolph is a matchup based option for those filling a hole in 2QB formats.
