NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.

Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.

The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.

When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.

The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown

The Seattle Seahawks are heading to New York to take on the Giants as 1.5-point favorites.

The Giants appear as if they will be without Saquon Barkley once again.

Their receiving corps still has not shaken out, and pricing reflects that. Wan’Dale Robinson looked healthy last week, so his workload should grow.

Seattle’s offense is far more enticing to stack, as they have the best chance to run away with this game.

Injury Notes

  • Saquon Barley – Ankle – Doubtful
  • Noah Fant – Knee – Questionable officially but did not practice on Saturday
  • Will Dissly – Shoulder – Questionable

Seattle Seahawks Offense

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:

Geno Smith – $10,000

The Seahawks are much more balanced this season, but Smith is still averaging roughly 33 passing attempts per game. He’s already got a 300-yard game under his belt, and he benefits from Jaxon Smith-Njigba getting healthier by the week. He will be a popular captain, but we can combat that by triple stacking him.

Kenneth Walker III – $10,800

The addition of Zach Charbonett was concerning for Walker’s usage, but he’s managed to handle over 50% of the snaps in each of the first three weeks. He’s also got four touchdowns to his name in this young season. His newfound receiving involvement makes him an intriguing stacking option with Smith.
