In Sunday night’s Showdown, the Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders. in a divisional matchup. For a breakdown of this game, check out Rich Hribar’s Fantasy Football Worksheet.

The Chargers are field-goal favorites on the road and also have more fantasy-friendly options, so should see more rostership. Darren Waller may return for this game but his status is uncertain, so be sure to monitor that, as it would impact his fellow pass-catchers.

Strategy

This slate is one of the more evenly dispersed in terms of both roster construction and individual player rostership. Chargers onslaughts are projected just over 7% while Raiders onslaughts are just over 5%. The 4-2 builds are >26% and >21% respectively, with 3-3 builds approaching 40%.

It seems Justin Herbert is likely to be the most rostered CPT (13-18%) and overall (56-80%). Josh Jacobs, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Derek Carr are all projected for 10-13% CPT, with Hunter Renfroe and Mike Williams not far behind. Waller and Zay Jones both seem like good leverage spots, though it is unlikely that these two players both go off in the same game. If using Herbert, ensure to get contrarian with the stacks, salary usage, and cumulative ownership, especially with him at CPT. I would also lean to Williams over Allen since he has similar upside as a deep threat and will be lower owned.

DK Values

  • DeSean Jackson ($1400)
  • Peyton Barber ($1000)

DK Leverage

  • Justin Jackson ($5200) – A bit overpriced for an RB2 and does best in a Chargers blowout
  • Jalen Guyton ($4800) or Joshua Palmer ($4200) – Wouldn’t use both together

DK Build Ideas

  • Max 1 DST, Max 1 K
  • Max 2 depth WR/TE/RB
  • Max 1 of Guyton or Palmer
  • If CPT QB, include one depth option in stack
  • If CPT RB, negative boost opposing DST/K
  • If CPT WR/TE boost team QB and force at least 1 QB (either team)
  • Cumulative ownership under 250%
  • Leave salary unspent

FD Values

  • Josh Jacobs ($12,000)
  • Daniel Carlson ($9000)

FD Leverage

  • Zay Jones ($9000) – Will be far less popular if Waller plays
  • Anyone $8500 or less

FD Build Ideas

  • No K or TE at MVP
  • Focus on 3-2 build construction
  • No solo CPT in 1-4 construction
  • Negative boost opposing QBs (Lineups with both only win 30%)
  • If WR CPT, boost QB
  • QB is overused but RB and WR are underutilized at MVP
  • Don’t stack 3 pass catchers from the same team
  • Don’t force the max salary
