NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.
Things got much more interesting with reports David Montgomery, Aaron Jones, and Christian Watson are likely to play.
Montgomery and Watson particularly remove viable punt plays from the equation, but neither can be used with confidence on their own — Watson is expected to be on a snap count.

- Aaron Jones – Hamstring – Questionable
- Christian Watson – Hamstring – Questionable

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:
Amon-Ra St. Brown – $11,600
St. Brown carries the highest projection amongst non-quarterbacks, but he’s also the most expensive player on the slate by over $1,000. With Jahmyr Gibbs no longer as strong an option at captain with David Montgomery expected to play, St. Brown will likely get the most usage in that spot.
