Week 1 is now in the books, with both the Thursday and Monday night games ending in thrilling fashion. Week 1 brought about a few running back surprises from first-rounders disappointing to a couple of unexpected late scratches. Do not overreact to single-game results, but pay more attention to the big picture — for example, Najee Harris played 100% of the snaps — don’t focus on the Week 1 total points, but focus on the opportunity.

Fortunately Week 1 avoided a lot of serious injuries and most waiver pickups will be based on Week 1 usage. Pre-season waivers saw fantasy players use a lot of their FAAB budget to acquire players, remember it is a long season, and depending on how long your league has waivers the FAAB budget needs to last the season.
