Week 17 Prediction: Bo Nix More Than 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Bo Nix has tossed 2 or more passing TDs in five of his last six games.
He is currently tied with Justin Herbert, C.J. Stroud, and Russell Wilson for the most games as a rookie with 2 or more pass TDs and 0 INTs in NFL history.
The Cincinnati Bengals held Dorian Thompson–Robinson without a touchdown last week, but before that gave up 2+ passing TDs in five straight games.
And on the season, they’ve given up 2+ passing TDs to every QB with more than 20 pass attempts except for DTR, Jacoby Brissett, and Daniel Jones.
They allowed 2+ passing TDs to:
- Andy Dalton
- Mason Rudolph
- Cooper Rush
- Lamar Jackson (twice)
- Russell Wilson
- Justin Herbert
- Patrick Mahomes
- Jayden Daniels
This matchup suits Nix to a tee.
The Bengals are #25 in yards allowed after the catch per completion, and Nix throws 28% of passes at or behind the line of scrimmage, #3 in the NFL.
The Bengals rank #30 in pressure rate on early downs in the first three quarters of games this year, and Nix has massive pressure splits this year.
With the playoffs on the line, Sean Payton will let Nix throw it a bit more, especially if this game opens up.
