Week 17 Prediction: Jayden Reed More Than 50.5 Receiving Yards
We don’t know if the Packers will have the services of Christian Watson for this game, but the signals are there for Reed to see success either way.
In the past two matchups between these teams, Reed has had games of 7-139-1 and 6-89-2.
The Vikings struggle against slot receivers, and Reed spends the vast majority of his time in the slot.
The Vikings play the #3 most zone coverage, and Reed leads the Packers with 3.0 yards per route against zone coverage.
Specifically, the Vikings play the #3 most Cover 2, and Reed leads the Packers with a 25% target rate vs Cover 2 and 2.3 yards per route run, via our Rich Hribar.
If this game is a Packers blowout with a healthy Watson, Reed may not see enough targets to hit this because he doesn’t get as much play in two-WR sets.
But if this game is competitive and the Packers need to throw, even with Watson at full health, Reed should get this number.
If Watson is out, this line is very short considering how much the Packers may need to rely on Reed.
