Week 18 Prediction: Kyler Murray More Than 28.5 Rushing Yards
Kyler Murray needs 50 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown for a $750,000 incentive.
He has 550 rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs, and his incentive is 600 rushing yards and 6 TDs.
Murray is well aware of this in a meaningless game for both the 49ers and Cardinals.
What I like about this more is that James Conner will not play this week, so the Cardinals will now lean on Michael Carter to carry the load.
It’s easy for a QB to choose to take off and scramble on nearly any dropback he takes if he’s really looking to do that.
In Murray’s case, with $750,000 on the line, I think he’s able to make that happen.
Murray has topped this number in two straight games, and in his last game against the 49ers, he ran 7 times for 83 yards.
This is a heavily incentive-based prop, but the rushing yardage was set at a number reasonably close to the line last week (27.5) and less than it was set earlier in the season (33.5 for several weeks) when Murray was trying to win games and had no incentive in his mind.
