- Since Week 7, the Buccaneers are last in EPA as a passing offense (-45.7).
- Tampa Bay is now 30th in success rate on passing plays (38.7%), ahead of only Tennessee (37%) and Cleveland (31.7%).
- Over their past six games, the Bucs are averaging 1.72 points per drive, 26th in the league.
- The Cardinals have allowed 2.52 points per drive over their past six games (28th) after allowing 1.81 points per drive before (5th).
- Tampa Bay has allowed a league-high 13 touchdowns from outside of the red zone.
- The Cardinals have 1 touchdown from outside of the red zone, tied for the fewest in the league.
- The Buccaneers are 6-0 in games they have been tied or ahead at the half and 0-5 in games they have trailed at the half.
- Tampa Bay has allowed opponents to convert 66.7% (18 of 27) of red zone trips into touchdowns, 29th in the league.
- Arizona has forced opponents to punt on a league-low 24.4% of possessions.
- The Cardinals have -70.2 EPA on sacks taken this season, ahead of only Tennessee (-86.0).

Quarterback
Jacoby Brissett: Brissett turned in his sixth consecutive QB1 scoring week on Sunday, closing the week as the QB7 (18.7 points).
Brissett dropped back another 58 times on Sunday, his third game in a row with 50-plus dropbacks.
Since taking over as the starter, Brissett has dropped back 47, 46, 37, 53, 57, and 58 times.
Arizona will likely have to drop back a ton here as a road underdog against a strong Tampa Bay run defense.
Brissett is in play again as a volume-based QB1.
It feels like we are waiting for a shoe to drop, since Brissett’s efficiency keeps getting worse, and Arizona is on the road with another lower-end team total.
Brissett’s passing points per attempt have dropped in four straight games.
Because Arizona has been in jailbreak game scripts and cannot run the ball right now, they have become one-dimensional, which has taken away some of the things we really liked about Brissett taking over as the starter.
After playing under center more and utilizing high rates of play action, that has been thrown out the window these past three weeks.
After Brissett played under center for 46.3% of his dropbacks with a 38.7% play-action rate over his first three starts, he has been under center only 18.6% of the time with a 19.3% play-action rate over the past three games.
That does matter here because the Bucs struggle against under-center passing and play action, which played right into Matthew Stafford cooking them on Sunday night.
Tampa Bay has allowed a 69.6% completion rate (24th), 11.3 yards per pass attempt (31st), and a 7.2% touchdown rate (22nd) against under-center passing.
They allow a 73.1% completion rate (28th), a league-high 11.1 yards per pass attempt, and a 6.4% touchdown rate (20th) against play action.
Against static dropbacks out of shotgun, they have allowed a 66.6% completion rate (16th), 6.6 Y/A (15th), and a 4% touchdown rate (15th).
All of that may not matter as much if Jamel Dean is still out with a hip injury.
On 163 attempts without Dean on the field, this defense has allowed a 69.9% completion rate (31st), 8.3 Y/A (31st), and a league-high 9.2% touchdown rate.
On 212 attempts with Dean on the field, the Bucs have allowed a 63.2% completion rate, 7.2 Y/A, and a 1.9% touchdown rate.
If Dean is out again, that is a significant boost for Brissett and his wide receivers.
If Dean is back, then there is another layer of volatility here, but Brissett should be throwing the ball a lot either way.
Baker Mayfield: Mayfield was forced out of last week’s game with a sprained left shoulder.
Initial reports indicate the MRI was clean, and Mayfield avoided a long-term injury.
Given that it is his non-throwing shoulder, I am going to enter the week under the assumption that he will try to play on Sunday.
I am pretty confident Mayfield has already been playing through multiple injuries that we do not know the severity of that have impacted his play.
Since Week 7, Mayfield has completed 58.5% of his passes (28th) for a league-low 5.3 Y/A and a 3.7% touchdown rate (23rd).
He has an inaccurate throw rate of 14.6% (27th) over that period.
There will be some risk for re-injury, but if Mayfield can suit up, this is a matchup that still has appeal for him as a boom-or-bust QB2.
While Mayfield has been on a downward slide, he has faced some good defenses in Detroit, Buffalo, and the Rams on the road over that span.
He threw 3 touchdowns against the Patriots at home in Week 10 and was the QB7 (22.9 points).
Arizona has allowed 3 passing touchdowns in each of the past two weeks to Brock Purdy and Trevor Lawrence after allowing 14.8 yards per pass attempt to Sam Darnold in Week 10.
Arizona could be getting Will Johnson back, however, who carries an impact similar to the splits we highlighted with Dean.
On 166 attempts with Johnson off the field, Arizona has allowed a 66.3% completion rate (22nd), 7.8 Y/A (28th), and a 5.4% touchdown rate (23rd).
On 207 attempts with Johnson on the field, they have allowed a 62.8% completion rate, 6.4 Y/A, and a 3.4% touchdown rate.
