Quarterback

Matthew Stafford (TRUST): Stafford was on fire early on Sunday night, connecting on 19 of 23 passes (82.6%) for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half against the Bucs.

If the Rams were pressed, Stafford could have broken the bank, but he ended up completing just 6 passes in the second half as the Rams cruised to an easy win.

Stafford has now thrown 25 touchdown passes to 0 interceptions over his past eight games.

Stafford leads the league in passing points per attempt (0.614).

With the injury to Tyler Higbee or just an outright pivot, the Rams reduced their rate of 13 personnel on Sunday to 10.9% (their lowest since Week 5) and ran 11 personnel on 70.9% (their most since Week 6).

With Tutu Atwell returning, the Rams could slide back to more 11 as their base offense, but Sean McVay has both in his pocket.

There may be some blowout concerns here, but we have seen Stafford deliver QB1 scoring weeks in blowouts against the Bucs (22.9 points), Saints (26.8 points), and Jaguars (27.4 points).

While the Rams are throwing, they should slice through this Carolina defense, which will be missing Tre’von Moehrig (suspension) and Jaycee Horn (concussion).

The Panthers are last in pressure rate (28.7%) and 30th in sack rate (4.1%).

They are a static Cover 3 team at 45.3% (third).

Stafford has seen Cover 3 on 34% of his dropbacks (10th), completing 73.8% of his passes (5th) for 8.5 Y/A (10th) against those looks.

Bryce Young: Following up his best game of the year in Week 11 in Atlanta, Young immediately reverted on Monday night to the same passer we have seen for the bulk of the season.

Young was QB20 (8.3 points) in San Francisco, completing 18 of 29 passes for 169 yards (5.8 Y/A) with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.

Young has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in seven of nine games this season, passing for 6.6 yards per attempt or less in all but two games.

Even if he had delivered in a good matchup on Monday, Young would be a back-end QB2 here as a massive underdog against the Rams.

The Rams are 10th in pressure rate (39%).

They are allowing 11.7 passing points per game (6th), allowing 6.3 yards per pass attempt (5th) and a 3.3% touchdown rate (5th).
