Everyone hopefully had a great holiday weekend.
We are turning the calendar to December and leaving an anemic fantasy month behind.
I wish I didn't have to keep reporting another down week for NFL offenses and fantasy football, but here we are.
Even though there were no teams on bye last week, fantasy scores sure felt like it.
November was the lowest-scoring month of the season for fantasy.
Offenses scored their fewest fantasy points per team last week.
Four of the six lowest-scoring fantasy weeks have now come over the past four weeks.
Offenses did not reach 2.0 points per drive in any of the past four weeks after hitting that arbitrary mark in eight of the opening nine weeks.
Week 13 saw a new low point for passing production.
The 195.2 passing yards per team were a season low.
For the season, we are at 212.0 passing yards per team, the lowest rate at this point in a season since 2006.
Passing yards at this point of the season have dropped each year since 2020.
In 2020, teams were averaging 241.1 passing yards per team through 13 weeks.
In 2021, that dipped to 234.4 yards, down to 221.7 yards in 2022, 220.1 yards in 2023, 217.0 yards in 2024, and now this season.
Rushing production was solid last weekend compared to passing output, but even rushing (115.5 yards per team) is down from this point a year ago (119.9 yards per team).
I keep saying this, but eventually we can only drop so far and are due for a big week.
Hopefully, that will be on tap this weekend, since it is such a pivotal week for gamers.
Week 14 is special because it is the final week of the regular season for most fantasy leagues.
Through all of the injuries and up-and-down scoring, hopefully, you are left standing and are ready for the fantasy postseason.
If you need a win this weekend, the NFL made things interesting by having the final bye week of the season.
The 49ers, Patriots, Giants, and Panthers are off this week.
If injuries or misfortune have worked against you this season, there is still plenty of DFS and player prop action to get into and make the most of the remainder of the season through this series of articles.
This article will be updated throughout the week to reflect major news or injury implications.
I encourage you to use the game-by-game tables and data points here in conjunction with the player rankings that will be available every Wednesday.
Enjoy the games!
