Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
Derek Carr: Carr completed just 52.6% of his passes Sunday for 6.1 yards per pass attempt, but he was able to get home fantasy still as the QB10 (19.2 points) by throwing three touchdowns. Carr has now completed 55% of his passes or fewer in each of the past three games, but he has thrown multiple touchdown passes in six of his past seven games.
The Steelers have allowed just one QB1 scoring week since their Week 9 bye, but they have faced Andy Dalton, Matt Ryan, Marcus Mariota, Tyler Huntley, and Sam Darnold outside of allowing 9.1 Y/A and four touchdowns to Joe Burrow. Even with this light stretch on the schedule, the Steelers have allowed a 5.2% touchdown rate to opposing passers, 30th in the league.
Carr is not in Burrow’s weight class, but he is a tier or two above all of those other passers. Carr threw for 382 yards and two touchdowns in Pittsburgh last season, but that was also early in the season with no weather concerns.
Pittsburgh is another spot this weekend looking at freezing temperatures and potential wind. A lot of that is cooked into the implied line here for the Raiders. We will follow the reports up until game time because Carr is right on the QB1 line with added upside should things check out with minimal wind.
