Biggest NFL Week 16 Injuries:
Lamar Jackson Injury Update
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson injured his back after taking a helmet shot to his kidneys late in the first half on Sunday night.
Jackson's return was initially ruled questionable, but Tyler Huntley remained under center for Baltimore at the beginning of the second half.
Jackson never returned to the game.
With Baltimore's playoff hopes hanging on by a thread, it will be interesting to see if the Ravens decide to play it safe with their star quarterback.
TreVeyon Henderson Injury Update
Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson was ruled out at halftime on Sunday night after suffering a head injury earlier in the game.
The rookie slammed his head into the ground on a one-yard carry and was immediately sent to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion.
There has yet to be an official announcement, but there's a pretty strong chance Henderson will begin this week in concussion protocol.
Jordan Mason Injury Update
Vikings RB Jordan Mason suffered an ankle injury on the team's first possession of the game and had to be carted to the locker room.
The fourth-year running back has scored a career-high 6 touchdowns this season while averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Based on his demeanor, it would be a surprise if he returned before the end of the season.
Fellow RB Aaron Jones also went into the medical tent in the first quarter, but he later returned to action.
J.J. McCarthy Injury Update
Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy left Sunday's game in the first half after suffering an injury to his throwing hand on a strip sack.
After going to the locker room, the TV broadcast showed McCarthy wincing in pain as the trainers worked on his hand on the sideline.
With McCarthy ruled out, Max Brosmer took over at quarterback for Minnesota.
Quinshon Judkins Injury Update
Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins was carted off the field in the first half on Sunday after he suffered a gruesome leg injury.
Given the apparent severity of the injury, this could affect Judkins' participation early next season as he rehabs.
The Browns were also without Dylan Sampson today, so Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams are the only healthy running backs on their roster.
Gardner Minshew Injury Update
Chiefs backup QB Gardner Minshew suffered a knee injury and was ruled out of Sunday's game during halftime.
Minshew was making his first start of the season after Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL last week.
Unfortunately, it was reported after the game that Minshew has also suffered a torn ACL and will miss the final two weeks of the season.
With Minshew now out, Chris Oladokun made his 2025 debut after playing sparingly in Week 18 last season.
Jordan Love Injury Update
Packers QB Jordan Love left Saturday's game against the Bengals after taking a big hit in the second quarter.
He was taken to the back to be evaluated for a concussion, and he was later ruled out for the rest of the game.
Green Bay has a massive matchup against the Ravens next Saturday, and given the usual recovery timeline from concussions this season, Love will be up against it to be cleared for that game.
Malik Willis took over at quarterback for the Packers after Love left the game.
Willis led the Packers to a 2-0 record with Love sidelined last season.
Other Notable Week 16 Injuries

The Giants were already playing without LG Jon Runyan Jr, as he was away from the team for the birth of his child. They also lost C John Michael Schmitz to a hand injury in the second half. With three of their starting offensive linemen out, the Giants netted just 13 passing yards on 13 attempts.
- Arizona's defense suffered several big blows on Sunday, with EDGE Josh Sweat (ankle), CB Garrett Williams (Achilles), and DL Walter Nolen (knee) all leaving the game. The injuries to Williams and Nolen appeared to be serious.
- Broncos WR Pat Bryant suffered a scary injury late against the Jaguars. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, but coach Sean Payton said the receiver has movement in his extremities.
